There is a rapidly growing trend of Southern Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music artists “coming out” as homosexuals or coming out in support of homosexuality.
In The Gospel Sound, which was first published in 1971, Anthony Heilbut said, “The gospel church has long been a refuge for gays and lesbians, some of whom grew up to be among the greatest singers and musicians.”
In 1998, CCM star Kirk Franklin said that “homosexuality ... is a problem today in gospel music--a MAJOR CONCERN--and everybody knows it” (Church Boy, pp. 49, 50)
In 2010, Douglas Harrison said, “... you can’t swing a Dove Award without hitting upon evidence of the longstanding, deep-set presence of queer experience in, and its influence on, Christian music culture at all.. see full report

The Smithsonian museums are amazing, the architecture, the infrastructure, the artifacts, even the coffee shops and cafeterias, and I’ve spent many days in them in years past. But what struck me this time more than ever was what is absent. Even in the museum of American history and the American Art Gallery there’s nothing at all about the pilgrims, the Puritans, and the major role of Christianity and the Bible in American history. New Testament Quotations From the Old Testament

We do not believe that the New Testament writers, when citing the Old Testament, cite from the Septuagint or Greek translation.
Consider the example of Matthew citing Isaiah 9:1-2 in Matthew 4:13-16.
"The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up” (Mt. 4:15-16).
“Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. Critics in the 19th century attacked Luke’s Gospel and the book of Acts as historically unreliable documents that weren’t written until many generations after Christ. German critic F.C. Baur (1792-1860), for example, claimed that the book of Acts was not written until the second half of the 2nd century. The critics claimed that most of the New Testament is based on myths that were passed along by word of mouth for generations before being committed to writing.
But the book of Acts is clearly written as a historical document. Luke mentions 32 countries, 54 cities, nine islands, and 95 different people, including many civil and military officials. Likewise, Luke’s Gospel is filled with references to places and.. see full report

Surveying the scene on the relief, the identity of the city portrayed grew increasingly obvious: This was Jerusalem! ... He might be right! I thought. This is the oldest work of art depicting Jerusalem ever found! The evidence began to accrue immediately. In an era when the history of America is being spun as a hopeless racist enterprise, it is important to set the record straight. Racial hatred was definitely a part of American’s history, as it has been a part of man’s history in general since the fall, but racial hatred was never universal in America.
THE MISSIONARY MOVEMENT
Many white people loved the souls of black people and preached the gospel to them.
The first such organization was The Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts was established in London in 1701 and operated in the colonies.

In 1787, Catherine made her Crimean Journey, a a six-month tour of her territories of Crimea and New Russia and Potemkin’s building projects.
- A decade earlier, Catherine had appointed Grigori Potemkin ruler over the New Russia. He encouraged colonization from surrounding nations by granting land subsidies and soon doubled the population. He oversaw spectacular building projects. He built Kherson as a base for the Black Sea Fleet, the city of Sevastopol, Simferopol, Dnipro, and modernized Odessa.
- Catherine’s journey began with a spectacular 750-mile sledding venture from Tsarskoe Selo (a little south of St. Petersburg) to Kiev (in northern Ukraine on the Dnieper River). “On New Years Day 1787, Catherine received the diplomatic corps at the Winter Palace, and then drove to Tsarskoe Selo.
