Following are the testimonies of lawyers and judges in regard to the evidence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is excerpted from An Unshakeable Faith: A Christian Apologetics Course, www.wayoflife.org:
Hugo Grotius (1583-1645) was a noted Dutch “jurist and scholar whose works are of fundamental importance in international law,” according to the Encyclopedia Britannica. He wrote Latin elegies at the age of eight and entered Leiden University at eleven. Considered “the father of international law,” he wrote The Truth of the Christian Religion (1627) in which he legally defended the historical fact of the Resurrection (cited from “The Evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ - Part 2,” John Ankerberg Show, jashow.ca).
Thomas Sherlock (1678-1761) wasn’t a lawyer but he was trained in law. He was a Cambridge-educated theologian in the Church of England, and he wrote a classic.. see full report

The Dead Sea Scrolls

I have been reading about the Dead Sea Scrolls for years, but my interest was piqued to a higher degree in 2010 after my first visit to two sites associated with them: the caves themselves and the museum at Qumran and the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem where the first seven scrolls are housed.
The scrolls were discovered between 1947 and 1956 in 11 caves near the northwest shore of the Dead Sea, 13 miles southeast.. see full report

“.. let us consider God’s love for man.”
God wants man’s love. It is the first commandment. “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment” (Mt. 22:37-38). We don’t love God in our fallen condition, but we can love God when we are redeemed through faith in Christ. We are saved to love God forever. We are to have a first love for Christ and we are to maintain that first love (Re. 2:4-5). After Peter denied the Lord, Christ asked him three times, “Simon, lovest thou me?” (Joh. 21:15-17).

A father approached me at a Bible conference recently and said that his teenage daughter begs him every day to allow her to use his smartphone to play a video game, because “she needs to relax.” I told him that there are far better and safer options for “relaxing” than video games. The dangers are multitudinous as we document in this report: addiction, the slippery slope of being drawn into less innocent games, using smartphone time to access any number of dangerous platforms, such as Snapchat or TikTok, and being drawn into the toxic world of teenage social media.

We are witnessing a great blending and merging within Christianity. Unity is the cry of the times. There is a call to “break down the walls.” The ecumenical principle and spirit is gaining predominance everywhere, but it is a rebellious spirit that is contrary to the Bible.
First, the ecumenical movement has an unscriptural view of doctrine.
The term “doctrine” appears fifty-six times in the English Bible. The first characteristic of the church at Jerusalem was that it “continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine” (Ac. 2:42). The one true faith, the one true body of doctrinal truth, was given to the apostles and prophets by divine inspiration and enshrined in the New Testament Scripture. The doctrine was inscribed, canonized, and preserved. It was “once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3). The completed faith was sealed with a sharp warning in the last chapter (Re. 22:18-19). From that time, churches are to keep that same doctrine.... see full report
