First, the ecumenical movement has an unscriptural view of doctrine.
The term “doctrine” appears fifty-six times in the English Bible. The first characteristic of the church at Jerusalem was that it “continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine” (Ac. 2:42). The one true faith, the one true body of doctrinal truth, was given to the apostles and prophets by divine inspiration and enshrined in the New Testament Scripture. The doctrine was inscribed, canonized, and preserved. It was “once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3). The completed faith was sealed with a sharp warning in the last chapter (Re. 22:18-19). From that time, churches are to keep that same doctrine.... see full report
It is impossible to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission without preaching repentance. Christ preached repentance (Lu. 13:3, 5). Peter preached repentance (Ac. 2:38). Paul preached repentance (Ac. 17:30).. see full report

TRUMP SAYS HE WILL NOT ALLOW ISRAEL TO ANNEX THE “WEST BANK” (Friday Church News Notes, October 10, 2025, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - On September 25, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office at the White House, President Trump said, “I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. Nope, I will not allow it. It’s not going to happen” (“Trump Says,” Associated Press, Sept. 26, 2025). We would make four comments on this. First, the President’s statement is in clear opposition to God’s Word, which says God gave the land of Israel to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and their seed. The Abrahamic covenant (Genesis 12) is the title deed to.. see full report

“He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion. When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them. They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name” (Jeremiah 10:12-16) .. see full report
“I know pretty well what evidence is; and I tell you, such evidence as that for the resurrection has never been broken down yet” (Lord Lyndhurst or John Singleton Copley, Attorney General of Great Britain, Lord Chancellor of England, High Steward of the University of Cambridge, original source probably from Theodore Martin, A Life of Lord Lyndhurst).
“Let it simply be said that we know more about the details of the hours immediately before and the actual death of Jesus, in and near Jerusalem, than we know about the death of any other one man in all the ancient world” (Wilbur Smith, Therefore Stand, p. 360).
“Non-miraculous explanations of what happened at the empty tomb have to face a cruel choice: either they have to rewrite the evidence in order to suit.. see full report

TRUMP’S MIDDLE EAST PEACE PLAN (Friday Church News Notes, October 3, 2025, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - On September 29, U.S. President Donald Trump and Israel Prime Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a joint press conference the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.” Trump said, “Gaza is one thing, but we’re talking about much beyond Gaza. The whole deal, everything getting solved. It’s called peace in the Middle East.” John Hinderaker summarizes the plan as follows.. see full report
Keith and Kristyn Getty’s “contemporary hymns” are used widely among “traditional, non-contemporary” churches, because they are considered relatively safe.
Keith and Kristyn Getty partner with Stuart Townend to form Getty-Townend Music (GTM).
“Up to 100 million people worldwide sing Keith Getty’s hymns in church services each year” (“Hitting the right notes,” Belfast Telegraph, Aug. 11, 2018). The Getty-Townend hymn (Townend wrote the lyrics and Getty, the music) “In Christ Alone” has become one of the most famous hymns ever written, with an estimated 40 to 50 million people singing it in church services each year.
At least eight of the Gettys’ songs are included... see full report

The man is loud warning of the danger of Christians sitting at the feet of unbelieving educators.
He is the father of what is called “progressive education.” “His educational theories broke new ground and continue to wield influence at the dawn of the twenty-first century” (“Public School Innovators,” PBS.org).
John and his brother Davis were raised by Christian parents, and his mother would often question her sons, “Are you right with Jesus?” John professed faith in Christ at age 11 and took the Lord’s Supper at First Congregational.. see full report

Anne Steele (1717–1778) was a pioneering Baptist female hymn writer of the First Great Awakening era. Called “the female poet of the Sanctuary” and “the mother of the English hymn,” she published 144 hymns, 34 psalms versified, and 30 poems.
Yet we will see that Anne Steele’s hymns have dropped out of most Baptist hymnals since the turn of the 20th century.
Anne’s father and grandfather were pastors. The Steeles were from a long line of non-conformists that were persecuted for their faith. John Rede, founder of Anne’s church, was imprisoned in the Tower of London for a number of years in the early.. see full report

His death has produced a massive outpouring of attention, both negative and positive. His body was transported from Utah in Air Force Two accompanied by Vice President J.D. Vance. “Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 1:13).
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3).

It is widely believed that the King James Bible is too antiquated and difficult to understand for the 21st century, but the following points need to be taken into consideration:
1. THE KJV DOES HAVE SOME ANTIQUATED WORDS AND FORMS OF SPEECH, BUT NOT MANY.
The Trinitarian Bible Society publishes a list of 618 antiquated words. It is called Bible Word List. Most of these can be understood by considering the context. There are only about two hundred words in the KJV that have become so antiquated that.. see full report

The New Orleans ’87 conference is a window into the one-world church that is being built today by a great blending and merging of all denominations. The official title was The North American Congress on the Holy Spirit and World Evangelization.
I had opportunity to attend this conference with media credentials with Dennis Costella of Foundation magazine.
All of the major elements of the end-time “church” were present: a shallow gospel with a focus on a “sinner’s prayer,” unconcern for a regenerated conversion experience with clear biblical evidence, downplaying or redefining repentance, a judge not philosophy, lack of zeal for sound doctrine, neglect of contending.. see full report

CHARLIE KIRK ASSASSIN REPRESENTS A DARK ONLINE WORLD (Friday Church News Notes, September 19, 2025, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following information reminds us that the internet is a very dangerous place, as well as a powerful communication tool for the truth. The dangers include every form of wicked thinking and lifestyle, every form of false religion and philosophy, and every form of false doctrine. For God’s redeemed people to be safe, there must be proper education, spiritual wisdom, effectual controls, and supervision. Our book/course The Pornographic Age and Spiritual Victory deals with these things in much detail, www.wayoflife.org. The following is excerpted from “Dark.. see full report

Dissatisfaction with the Roman Catholic Church had spread far and wide by the 16th century. Many voices were being raised against Rome’s doctrines and practices.
On October 31, 1517, a Catholic monk named Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Castle Church at Wittenberg, protesting the sale of indulgences.
The pope was selling these to finance the construction of the St. Peter’s Cathedral. An indulgence promised.. see full report
