From time to time, I publish some of the goodies from my mailbox, since many people have told me that they enjoy reading these things.

“I would like to let you know that I have recently purchased some of your Bible commentary series (Daniel, Romans, The Future According to the Bible, and Corinthian Epistles). I live in the UK and have been preaching for 12 years. Despite (and I say this as graciously as possible) knowing a LOT more biblically than the average church-going Christian, I have recently been convicted of my serious lack of Biblical knowledge. There are only very few options in England for sound Bible College training. Having started your commentary on Daniel for example, I have been greatly blessed and helped in gaining and remembering the knowledge of the themes of the book- expressly, the glory of God and His almighty power over the affairs of men. The review questions I have found to be particularly helpful. This is because it DISCIPLINES me in going over the passage and the material again and again until I can satisfactorily answer the questions and thereby retain the knowledge. Our tiny church here has already started to reap the benefits of my serious studying of your Bible college materials. Thank you and may the LORD greatly bless you in the ministry - for His name’s sake.
“I’m in chapter 29 of Isaiah in my course through it. I have to tell you how useful your commentary on Isaiah is. Over the course of the the first 29 chapters I’ve used probably 70% of your notes and cross references. It’s such a wealth of material already done and prepared and makes my work so much easier. The other 30% are my own cross references and comments. But without all of that carefully prepared material this would be so much more work. So thank you. It’s an excellent study. As I always expect from you based on my decades, now, experience of using your materials. I sometimes recommend commentators to the church. When I do I always recommend you. And I do it without reservation. I also recommend McGee, Ironside, Pentecost, Lehman Strauss and others at times. But with all of them I point out the issues with their theological positions. I never have to do that with your work and that’s a huge benefit.”

“During my sickness I wrote a book of our journey out of Adventism. Along with our story I present the hard facts that convinced us of the truth that it was a false system that we were born into (we were fourth and sixth generation Adventists). As I look back growing up in that movement, I can see all along the way how God slowly but surely detached my loyalty from an organization and anchored me to Him in order to make me open to the evidence when it came. God is so merciful! While we were already convinced of the error of Adventism before exploring your website and books. I can say that your material was instrumental for us in two ways. Those who contemplate leaving Adventism have a fear that engulfs them as they look out at what they have been taught is Babylon (all others but Adventists). What is so scary is everything they see, as they look at the ‘Christian world’ seems to confirm it. It feels like one is stepping into bedlam and into a lake of error. Your stand and your writings helped us immensely! It helped us to realize and feel like we were not going into that lake of apostasy and loosening of true Bible standards. Also, your writings were very helpful in clearing the cobwebs and making clear the finer points of certain issues and theology. So many times, I have read material against Adventism that reveals the fact that the author is ill-informed and therefore his points are not relevant. Yours was different. It hit the mark and revealed one who had done his research and understood Adventism. Because of that it was helpful. Over the years since leaving the Adventist ministry I have been an avid reader of your books. ... Well, Brother this is longer than I expected, and I know you are busy so I will close. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for not giving in to the pressures that have pressed against you over the years, for standing for truth and holding the torch high that has helped to guide us into the harbor of truth!! May he continue to lead you!”
“My family and I just wanted to reach out to you and thank you for your ministry. And while you are not our Pastor, we do want to let you know how very much we appreciate all of the hard work and effort you put into your materials and how grateful we are for all of the free resources you offer believers. It was your very extensive article on Repentance that was instrumental in my salvation. It was all of your materials on the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement that equipped me with enough knowledge to confront my college daughter who was knee deep in it and praise the Lord, she came out of that and got biblically saved. We have learned so much from both of these men and we are currently going through Pastor Kelly's classes on how to analyze music. I have actually started listening to the* *** on the radio from time to time. David Cloud (PTL) brings me back to my fundamental roots of the ‘Straight and Narrow Path’ Christ commands!”
“I wanted to thank you for your series The Satanic Attack on Sacred Music. I just finished listening to it yesterday, and I wish there was a way to give that to every single Christian in the world (or rather, make them listen to it) – especially fundamental Baptists like myself. Before, I was pretty sure I understood the danger of wrong music and the reasons why – now I KNOW and can have solid reasons and understanding behind what I believe. There was music that I really enjoyed listening to on YouTube – literally just straight acapella hymns that I thought were perfectly acceptable, not pushing the line at all. But after listening to the series I realized that even that music is ever so slightly heading south, with scooping and sliding and I didn't even realize that is part of what I liked about it. It has given me a burden for having the right music. I am very blessed to be part of our church that teaches Godly music and has high music standards. But even in our church I can see how easy it would be for that very slow, very gradual decline starting with a special that just has the rhythm a little off, or ending on the wrong note (I need to listen to the series again, not having a musical background at all, some of it was greek to me, but very fascinating). I have started praying daily for the standards of our church that they will be upheld, and that we will not degrade over time. I just wanted to thank you again for your many years of sacrifice and service. You helped me make some big changes in my life many years ago that saved me from a lot of garbage, and I will always be grateful.”

I often tell my people to read analytically, even my notes, as only the Bible is inspired. I love some of the commentaries mentioned, when they are on track; for example, Gill has some insightful thoughts, but then at other places he is most disturbing!! As you say, we have to be careful of their wrong theology, which corrupts their interpretations! Thank you once again!!”

“Bro. Cloud, I took your Bible Knowledge Test (the brief one) to the pulpit and held a pop-quiz right at the start of our Wed. night service (which was a special Thanksgiving Service this past November). I am happy to report that many of our people were able to answer correctly. What was even more exciting is that some of the young children were able to supply correct answers as they too participated in answering the pop-quiz. Some of our people quizzed out, after three correct answers, so as to give others a chance to answer. It was a delight for the congregation to hear the little children answer correctly--the people actually cheered. And when other adults answered correctly, that too, brought on some glad cheers. I got feedback from others who were challenged that they didn’t know the answers, but that they are glad to have had their ignorance exposed (even if it was to their own selves). Now they are resolved to listen better to the messages and sermons. I told them, I hope this experience would spur them on to really learning more and more the precious Holy Bible that God gave to us. We will be accountable to God someday for His words. Did we study it? Did we memorize it? Did we take heed to it? Did we read it? Did we understand it (or earnestly, purposefully try to understand it). Did we share it? Did we treasure it? I told our people, if we expect to have a good Judgment Seat of Christ experience in the future, then we better do good with what He has given to us, today. AMEN. We appreciate your Bible Knowledge Test book (at least for now the ‘Brief’ section of that resource).”

“I love a good commentary. It is my normal procedure to investigate a passage of the Bible, and then look up a few trusted commentaries to see how these good men handled the same passage. Right now, I am preaching through I Timothy in our midweek service, and I picked up the Pastoral Epistles Commentary. The information is thorough and completely trustworthy. I really enjoyed reading the introduction (read it a couple of times). We are now in chapter 5, and I am indebted to the valuable research that your commentary provides. I have also read your commentaries on Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel to accompany my own morning devotions. “I should have let you know long ago how much the Way of Life Ministry has blessed me! That is an understatement. I know of no other ministry that has such a complete library to assist the young and old in knowing God's Word better. Speaking of old, I am 73 yrs old and was saved in 1987. I have told many others that this ministry is basically a one stop shop for all your needs for sound teaching and warnings to the church. In my early walk, I remember David Hunt asking the question, are you a lover a truth. My answer was a resounding, yes! This helped me to have a Berean mindset. I was led to other ministries which I would call discernment and/or warning ministries. “When our children are about 13 years old, we have them start with the Advanced Bible Study on Proverbs as a part of their schooling. Listening to the ‘The Effectual Bible Student' was a catalyst that encouraged our older children to continue studying the Bible for about an hour each day, even after their home-schooling days were completed. Our family has gone through the 52 week discipleship course twice (2017 and 2024) and, Lord willing, will do it again in a few years when the younger children can get the full benefit. This has been foundational for teaching doctrine and practical spiritual growth with memory verses to anchor the truths in our mind. Two of your articles that I remember being a tremendous help at just the right time were ‘Soft Separation’ and ‘Preachers Following the Crowd.’ We are looking forward to using your new materials in the Way of Life Bible College format. I hope many pastors will take advantage of this to train their people in the church rather than sending them out to the Bible College 'melting pot' or using discipleship programs produced by New Evangelicals.”

Those who contemplate leaving Adventism have a fear that engulfs them as they look out at what they have been taught is Babylon (all others but Adventists). What is so scary is everything they see, as they look at the ‘Christian world’ seems to confirm it. It feels like one is stepping into bedlam and into a lake of error. Your stand and your writings helped us immensely! It helped us to realize and feel like we were not going into that lake of apostasy and loosening of true Bible standards. Also, your writings were very helpful in clearing the cobwebs and making clear the finer points of certain issues and theology. So many times, I have read material against Adventism that reveals the fact that the author is ill-informed and therefore his points are not relevant. Yours was different. It hit the mark and revealed one who had done his research and understood Adventism. Because of that it was helpful. I just finished listening to it yesterday, and I wish there was a way to give that to every single Christian in the world (or rather, make them listen to it) – especially fundamental Baptists like myself. Before, I was pretty sure I understood the danger of wrong music and the reasons why – now I KNOW and can have solid reasons and understanding behind what I believe. There was music that I really enjoyed listening to on YouTube – literally just straight acapella hymns that I thought were perfectly acceptable, not pushing the line at all. But after listening to the series I realized that even that music is ever so slightly heading south, with scooping and sliding and I didn't even realize that is part of what I liked about it. It has given me a burden for having the right music. I am very blessed to be part of our church that teaches Godly music and has high music standards. But even in our church I can see how easy it would be for that very slow, very gradual decline starting with a special that just has the rhythm a little off, or ending on the wrong note (I need to listen to the series again, not having a musical background at all, some of it was greek to me, but very fascinating). I have started praying daily for the standards of our church that they will be upheld, and that we will not degrade over time. Cloud, I took your Bible Knowledge Test (the brief one) to the pulpit and held a pop-quiz right at the start of our Wed. night service (which was a special Thanksgiving Service this past November). I am happy to report that many of our people were able to answer correctly. What was even more exciting is that some of the young children were able to supply correct answers as they too participated in answering the pop-quiz. Some of our people quizzed out, after three correct answers, so as to give others a chance to answer. It was a delight for the congregation to hear the little children answer correctly--the people actually cheered. And when other adults answered correctly, that too, brought on some glad cheers. I got feedback from others who were challenged that they didn’t know the answers, but that they are glad to have had their ignorance exposed (even if it was to their own selves). Now they are resolved to listen better to the messages and sermons. I told them, I hope this experience would spur them on to really learning more and more the precious Holy Bible that God gave to us. We will be accountable to God someday for His words. Did we study it? Did we memorize it? Did we take heed to it? Did we read it? Did we understand it (or earnestly, purposefully try to understand it). Did we share it? Did we treasure it? I told our people, if we expect to have a good Judgment Seat of Christ experience in the future, then we better do good with what He has given to us, today. AMEN. “For a long time, I dismissed much of what you were saying. I thought you were being overly critical of churches that still called themselves Independent Baptist. I assumed you were just stuck in a different era or drawing unnecessary lines. Honestly, I rolled my eyes more than once. But I was wrong. I see it now—clearly. Hello. My name is Lisa. I am a Christian. I believe that we should be careful to not judge other believers. The scriptures Proverbs 21:2-3 explains that only God has the right to judge men's hearts. Publishing unkind remarks about a fellow believer is not fruitful in my opinion. You can pray for God to bless them. If they deserve the blessing it will stand. If not, it will come back to bless you. That is scriptural. So is ‘Judge not, lest you be judged.’”
