Red Heifer in Shiloh
THE ENDLESS SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT RED HEIFER (Friday Church News Notes, June 26, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - “This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke” (Numbers 19:2). The Jews who are preparing for the Third Temple are on an endless search for the perfect red heifer from which they can create the water of purification. The search is endless only because they are following rabbinical tradition rather than the Word of God. According to their tradition, without spot or blemish means not one mis-colored hair, not the tiniest imperfection. The Temple Institute has attempted to produce pure red heifers from Texas Red Angus stock for many years. In September 2022, the first red heifers arrived in Israel, but they aren’t perfect enough, a black hair here, a white hair there. The heifers are the central attraction of a new research center in Shiloh, the location of the tabernacle and the Levitical sacrifices for nearly 400 years. Most recently, the best heifer (which they named Temimah or perfect) was found to have a tiny mark left by a livestock tag. The mark has grown over, but there is a fervent debate as to whether this disqualifies Temimah. No doubt they will figure it out when it is time for the temple to be constructed, which could be very soon. According to the famous 12th century rabbi Maimonides (Rambam), only nine red heifers were sacrificed in Israel’s ancient history, and the Messiah will offer the 10th (“Biblical Red Heifer,” Israel365 News, July 16, 2023). Since the Messiah is in heaven on the right hand of God, the deed will be accomplished by the Antichrist who will make it possible for the Third Temple to be built (Revelation 11).
PRO BASEBALL PLAYERS PROTESTING “PRIDE” EVENTS (Friday Church News Notes, June 26, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - “Pride Events” promoting the homosexual rights agenda have permeated professional sports in America. The exception is the Texas Rangers major league club which held a Faith & Family Night on June 18 instead of a Pride Night. Texas governor Greg Abbott said, “In Texas, we don’t punish people for living out their faith. We protect that right.” That’s good as far as it goes, but professional sports--with its Sunday games, its vanity, its ever-present filthy rock & roll, its gambling, its nakedness, its drinking and drugging, its arrogance, its foul language--has been a major factor in corrupting the Christian lifestyle of multitudes of professing believers and plunging entire congregations into lukewarmness. In the other clubs, most of the players go with the flow and do as they are told, but a few have protested in various ways. Most recently, three pitchers for the San Francisco Giants inscribed Bible references on the rainbow emblazoned “speciality caps” they were assigned for the Pride Night event on June 12. It was a super low-key protest which said nothing about homosexuality’s ungodliness in God’s eyes. The reference was Genesis 9:12-16, which refers to the rainbow as a symbol of God’s grace. Even so, the Giants baseball club pathetically issued a statement apologizing for its players’ actions, stating, “We understand that the choices by individual players have caused pain and anger to many in the LGBTQ+ community and we are sorry for that” (“Giants acknowledge,” The San Francisco Standard, June 14, 2026). On the same evening, the minor league team York Revolution in Pennsylvania gave up a game when most of the players refused to wear the “pride night” jerseys. The club’s owners publicly criticized their own players and donated $10,000 to the Rainbow Rose Center as an act of contrition and support for the homosexual rights agenda. Well does Bible prophecy mention Sodom in connection with the end times. “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:28-30).
TRUMP SAYS, “WITHOUT ME THERE WOULD BE NO ISRAEL” (Friday Church News Notes, June 26, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - At a press conference at the G7 summit in France, June 16, President Donald Trump said, “Without the United States, there would be no Israel. Without me, there would be no Israel, because no other president was willing to do what I did. I have had a great relationship with Bibi. Now Bibi has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon” (“Without Me,” Israel Today, June 17, 2026). The United States has done a lot of good for Israel since the days of George Washington, but Israel owes her existence to God alone. As Mordecai said to Esther after Haman had issued a decree to destroy the Jews, “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT PASSES MIGRANT RETURN SYSTEM: TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE (Friday Church News Notes, June 26, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - This move by the European Parliament reflects the frustration of many Europeans at the destruction of their culture and the increase in lawlessness as a product of uncontrolled immigration, but Islam is too well entrenched in a large portion of Europe to be uprooted. The following is excerpted from “Send them back,” Fox News, June 20, 2026: “The European Parliament erupted into chants of ‘send them back’ after lawmakers approved a sweeping overhaul of the European Union’s migrant return system, the latest sign that Europe is moving toward tougher immigration enforcement after years of growing anger and frustration from voters. Members of the European Parliament voted 418 to 218 Wednesday with 30 abstentions to approve the Return Regulation, a measure designed to speed up the removal of third-country nationals who are staying illegally in the European Union. The moment quickly turned explosive. After the vote was announced, right-wing lawmakers stood, applauded and chanted ‘send them back,’ according to a video of the meeting. Lawmakers on the left responded by chanting
‘shame on you.’ ... the confrontation underscored how sharply divided Europe remains over migration, even as the bloc’s institutions move ahead with policies once seen as politically taboo.” [Note: “left-wing” and “right-wing” are almost meaningless terms today and should be abandoned. They originated in the French revolution, when the supporters of the monarchy sat on the right of the national assembly and supporters of the revolution sat on the left.]
GEORGE WASHINGTON SAID 21ST CENTURY AMERICA DOES NOT HAVE THE SMILES OF HEAVEN (Friday Church News Notes, June 26, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following statement by George Washington was made in his First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789: “No people can be bound to acknowledge and adore the Invisible Hand which conducts the affairs of men more than the people of the United States. Every step by which they have advanced to the character of an independent nation seems to have been distinguished by some token of providential agency ... We ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.”
THE INTELLIGENT PLANT (Friday Church News Notes, June 26, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is from CreationMoments.com, April 24, 2026: “Scientists have known for some time that hummingbirds prefer bright-colored flowers. On the other hand, all of us know that white is most easily seen at night. That means that moths that pollinate flowers will more easily find white flowers. The question is, what is a flower to do when it is pollinated by hummingbirds during part of its flowering season and by night-flying moths later in its flowering season? That’s the problem faced by a flowering plant called the gilia. Hummingbirds arrive to pollinate the flowers in mid-July. However, they leave in late August as the weather cools. Also in late August, the night-flying hawk moth arrives to begin pollinating the flower. This arrangement continues until late September. To attract both hummingbirds and moths during its long flowering season, the gilia provides bright red flowers, favored by the hummingbirds, until late August. Then it offers white flowers to attract the hawk moths. Evolutionary scientists call this an example of evolutionary strategy. Think about that for a moment. How would a flower know what color it is? How would it know which colors are preferred by hummingbirds and which are preferred by moths? A flower could no more decide to change its color than you or I can decide to grow an inch taller. Both logic and science say that the gilia’s special features are intelligently designed by a truly gifted engineer. Why not, then, recognize the work of our all-wise Creator for what it is!
