TRUMP THE ISLAMIC ANTICHRIST (Friday Church News Notes, March 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is excerpted from “The Madhi is near,” Israel365News, Mar. 10, 2026: “For hardline Shiite ideologues from Tehran to Dearborn to northern Virginia, the focus of America’s war on Iran is the arrival of the Mahdi, Islam’s awaited messianic figure, whose reappearance, they believe, will be preceded by the emergence of the Dajjal--Islam’s version of the Antichrist. And the name they attach to the Dajjal is Donald Trump. This is being preached on American soil, in American cities, to American children. ... Al-Masih ad-Dajjal--literally ‘the deceitful messiah’--is Islam’s supreme figure of evil in the end times. He does not appear in the Quran by name, but Islamic hadith literature--the collected sayings and traditions attributed to Muhammad--describes him in vivid detail. IRAN’S NEW LEADER “OBSESSED” WITH END TIMES (Friday Church News Notes, March 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is excerpted from “Iran’s new leader,” All Israel News, Mar. 10, 2026. Some reports claim that this man is dead, though it is unconfirmed. “With Mojtaba Khamenei, the Iranian regime elevated a dangerous ideologue who is obsessed with the end times--and even believes he is a prophesied figure playing a key role in bringing about the return of the Mahdi, according to several experts. This isn’t particularly surprising considering that ‘Iran is a theocracy in which the mosque is the state, the Qur’an provides constitutional logic, and eschatology shapes foreign policy,’ as Ali Siadatan has recently explained on AIN [All Israel News]. Nevertheless, the new supreme leader, who has yet to appear in public, is particularly radical, even compared to his own father, warned Jaber Rajabi. ... With Mojtaba Khamenei, the Iranian regime elevated a dangerous ideologue who is obsessed with the end times--and even believes he is a prophesied figure playing a key role in bringing about the return of the Mahdi, according to several experts. ... A knot of Montagnards had also been walking by and stopped as the first beats of Creedence Clearwater Revival sifted through the window screens. One of the Yards smiled at his fellow Bahnar tribesmen from the same village. I saw his open mouth. ... His companion smiled in return. Gong music flowed in their blood. The beat brought them to their longhouse deep in the hardwood forest, where varied sizes of bronze gongs played in unison, the trong drums joined in turn, then the gord zither and a bamboo xylophone, and finally the melody played on a sao flute. One of the Bahnar bent forward and shrugged his shoulders to the rhythm. Currie is available as a speaker on creation science and apologetics. Nigel believes that the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is primarily a charge to the church. TECH COMPANY CEO SAYS HIS AI MIGHT HAVE GAINED CONSCIOUSNESS (Friday Church News Notes, March 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, claims that AI Claude “may or may not have gained consciousness, as the model has begun showing symptoms of anxiety” (“Tech company at odds,” Fox News, Mar. 7, 2026). This is nonsense. Elon Musk, founder of xAI, well replied, “He’s projecting.” AI is a computer program; it is not a living thing. It has no consciousness. A computer has no spirit, no soul. Man is a soul because God made him a soul. “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). God can make living souls, but man has no power to impart a soul to his machines. In the coming day of the Lord, the devil will have “power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak” (Revelation 13:15). This refers to an image of the Antichrist which all men will be required to worship on pain of death. This is not happening today. The day of the Lord will not begin until the Rapture occurs and the man of sin makes his appearance in God’s perfect time (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).
ANIMALS DON’T NEED TECHNOLOGY (Friday Church News Notes, March 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is from CreationMoments.com, December 17, 2025: “When we compare ourselves with many of the other living things on this Earth, our abilities are not very impressive. A camel can carry 1,000 pounds 30 miles through the desert every day. As a human being, I become tired even thinking about walking 30 miles with empty pockets. The ostrich can run at 30 miles per hour, faster than my car might go during rush hour. The Indian swift can fly at more than 100 miles per hour. The elephant’s trunk has 40,000 muscles. This is 70 times the number of muscles in your entire body. Yet, his trunk can bulldoze a tree or pick up a pin. Many of us can’t do either one on the first try. The flea can jump 350 times its own length, a total of 13 inches. This is equivalent to our jumping 2,000 feet into the air. Most of us can’t jump more than two feet off the ground. As it works out, 13 inches is just about right if you are looking for a nice warm dog on which to raise a family. A tiny insect called the midge beats its wings an amazing 133,000 times per minute. That’s a hundred times faster than you can blink your eye. Humans can use their superior intellect to build the machines they need. With those machines, they can outdo any one of these creatures. But God simply made a gift to the animals of the specialized abilities they needed. God expects us to follow His example and design and build what we need. If we look carefully, we will see that our Creator has given us all the materials and all the ideas we need within the creation.
