Kid Rock
TURNING POINT USA, EVANGELICALISM, AND KID ROCK (Friday Church News Notes, February 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - Turning Point USA sponsored an alternative “All-American Halftime Show” at Super Bowl 2026 featuring Kid Rock. Tens of millions tuned in. This exposes the worldliness and spiritual shallowness that permeates evangelicalism and a large percentage of conservative Baptists. Kid Rock is a Trump supporter and currently professes to be a Christian, naming Paula White as his “pastor” (“Kid Rock Asks Joe Rogan if He Wants to Know Jesus,” Church Leaders, Mar. 14, 2024), but he is a raunchy rocker, nonetheless, with no clear biblical testimony of the new birth and no renunciation of his filthy music. Even hyper-cool Relevant magazine warns about him: “Kid Rock’s music is the furthest thing from family friendly. His career has been built on explicit lyrics, sexual bravado, profanity, heavy drinking imagery and a proudly rebellious persona” (“A Kid Rock Concert,” Relevant, Feb. 3, 2026). Kid Rock’s most popular albums are “Devil Without a Cause” and “Cocky.” Rock & roll, with its “I’m free to do what I want” message, is philosophically incompatible with biblical Christianity and the mixture of the two since the 1970s has corrupted the Christian part when tested by God’s Word. Christian rock Christianity is the live according to your own lusts Christianity prophesied in 2 Timothy 4. At Turning Point’s All-American Super Bowl Halftime, Kid Rock sang, “There’s a book a’sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off. There’s a man who died for all our sins a’hanging from the cross. ... You can give your life to Jesus and he’ll give you a second chance, till you can’t.” This sounds fine to those lacking biblical discernment, but it is not the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a vague, ecumenical message that is meaningless in an age pervaded with false gospels, false christs, and false spirits. Kid Rock’s broad-tent gospel fits Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Mormons, Seventh-day Adventists, liberal Protestants, Angel-feathers Charismatics, empty the mind Contemplatives, no repentance Baptists, World Council of Churches universalists, theistic evolutionists, in fact the whole wide realm of the end-time one-world “church.” The true gospel of Jesus Christ, with its call for repentance and its exclusiveness and its new life of pilgrim holiness, is offensive to this world, but Kid Rock’s gospel is widely acceptable. The apostle Paul warned the church at Corinth about these things 2,000 years ago (2 Corinthians 11) and prophesied that the situation would become much more dangerous as the age progressed. “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived ... For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 3:13; 4:3-4).
THE NFL, BAD BUNNY, AND AMERICA’S APOSTASY (Friday Church News Notes, February 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is excerpted from “Together, We Are Indoctrinated,” The Disntr, Feb. 9, 2026: “At this point, the NFL is little more than a glossy package of political propaganda, marketed to the masses like a sugar-coated sedative. No thanks. I’m not paying to be brainwashed. [I didn’t watch the game] but I did wake up to one heck of a social media hangover. I scrolled through post after post about some clown named ‘Bad Bunny’ who apparently did the halftime show. And within seconds--seconds--I knew exactly what had happened. The images, the captions, the full-on Twitter trench warfare painted a familiar picture. Simulated sex acts, homosexual weirdos in bondage gear, and an absolute onslaught of anti-family sewage beamed straight into American homes. Kids were watching. Pastors were watching. Maybe your grandma was watching. And they got an eyeful of Satan’s drag circus dancing to lyrics so vile even their own defenders won’t translate them out loud.” [CONCLUDING NOTE: We strongly disagree with the publishers of The Disntr in the matter of Reformed Theology, but we are thankful for their rare warnings about the corruption of the Southern Baptist Convention and evangelicalism at large and the role that corrupt evangelicalism is playing in the downfall of America’s morals. TRUMP DECLARES PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST (Friday Church News Notes, February 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is excerpted from “Trump declares,” Israel Today, Feb. 6, 2026: “‘For the first time in 3,000 years, we have peace,’ US President Donald Trump announced at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday. ‘Now they have to disarm,’ he said of Hamas, claiming that the terror group had already agreed to do so. ‘Some people say they won’t, but they will, and if they don’t, they’re gonna not be around any longer.’ ... Within Israel’s security establishment ... there is growing consensus that we are not at the end of war, but at the precipice of something far worse--a regional explosion that could make the past two years of conflict look tame by comparison. Iran’s clerical regime and its terrorist tentacles--Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and Hamas in Gaza--may be wounded, but that makes them more desperate, not more agreeable. They are cornered, and cornered animals don’t disarm. They bite. That’s the sense on the ground in Israel. ... Every serious Israeli analyst, from military planners to intelligence veterans, has said the same thing: Hamas will not be disarmed by paper agreements or grand statements in Washington. It will only be disarmed by force. And until that happens, the war is not over. Reconstruction? Impossible. Stability? A fantasy. Disarmament? A battlefield objective, not a negotiation point. From where Israelis sit, the current moment looks worryingly familiar--like the aftermath of previous flare-ups, where Western leaders declare a ceasefire, push agreements, and start drafting grand diplomatic frameworks. Meanwhile, the enemy re-arms, regroups, and waits for the next opportunity to strike. This is not peace. This is a pause. ... Real peace ... will come when the terrorists are defeated, when Iranian proxies are dismantled, and when the Jewish state no longer has to deploy tens of thousands of reservists just to keep its borders from being overrun.” CONCLUDING NOTE: Real peace will not come until Israel repents of her sin against God and receives the Prince of Peace, Jesus the Messiah.
BLACK LIVES MATTER (Friday Church News Notes, February 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - A major proponent of Critical Race Theory is Black Lives Matter (BLM), a loose-knit coalition with the agenda of tearing down traditional America and replacing it with a socialist state that is a haven for moral perversion. They are enemies of the “old” America, as reflected in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, the “old” America that is deeply influenced by the Bible. BLM’s platform calls for an end to capitalism, the redistribution of wealth, universal basic income, collective ownership of property, slashing military spending by 50%, and ending all aid to Israel. They are opposed to “the nuclear family” (i.e., the traditional family of a father, mother, and children). They “foster a queer‐affirming network” and intend to “free themselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking” (the biblical idea of morality). BLM is one of many organizations and movements with similar agendas that have found a haven in the Democratic Party. These people have proven that they will tell any lie, destroy anyone’s reputation, commit any violence, break any law, and make any alliance, toward the fulfillment of their agenda. They only tear down; they never build up. They cannot point to a showcase nation or city or community built upon Marxist or Leftist principles that has superior justice, equality, economic opportunity, and liberty to America’s.
THE WORLD’S SMALLEST COMPUTER (Friday Church News Notes, February 20, 2026, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) - The following is from CreationMoments.com, January 27, 2026: “The cells of all living things are filled with highly detailed information. The incredible system that is used for storing this information makes our best computer information systems look like a child’s simple slate board! Believe it or not, it takes more information to make a complete human being than can be stored in the average city library. And all of this information is stored in less than a few thousand millionths of a gram of material within each of our cells. You have literally billions of copies of it! Our most sophisticated computer system cannot even come close to being able to store information like that. It is estimated that one billion species of plants and animals have existed since creation. The information storage system within the cell is so compact that all of the information to make every one of those one billion species could be held in a teaspoon--with room left over to hold all the books ever written if they, too, were stored with the same efficient system. Even more amazing is that this information storage system is not only able to store information like a computer but, unlike a computer, it can also copy itself and correct errors if any creep into the information! How could anyone believe that this brilliant information storage, copying and correction system could have come about by chance? To believe that this could be created by no one is certainly an act of faith. But it is clearly the wrong faith! And that highlights what the origins debate is really all about.”
