Way of Life Literature publishes a full range of Bible courses on practically every subject touching on the Bible and Christian life and ministry.

One pastor says the books “are extremely helpful for any Christian, no matter where they are spiritually; the practical application is extremely helpful and edifying.”

In the
Advanced Bible Studies Series there are currently 21 volumes totaling more than 6,400 pages (averaging 300 pages per book). Four of these courses (Acts, Four Gospels, History of the Churches, and Old Testament History and Geography) are accompanied by 50 PowerPoint presentations containing nearly 6,000 slides. Many of the photos and video clips were taken on location and in world-class museums by the author.

In What Order Should the Courses Be Studied?

The best place to start is The Effectual Bible Student, which is a 12-hour video course. It teaches how to establish a consistent daily Bible study, how to concentrate, how to use the fundamental Bible study tools, and how to interpret the Bible using sound principles. It is available for free viewing or download from www.wayoflife.org. It can also be purchased on DVD.

The next course that we recommend is
Old Testament History and Geography, which gives an overview of the Old Testament and how that each part fits together within the whole. The 2014 edition of this course is enlarged and improved with new maps.

After this we recommend
The Four Gospels, then Acts.

These three courses give an extensive survey of the history of the Old and New Testaments so that the student can begin seeing the Bible as a whole.

After that we suggest studying the courses in whatever order best fits your need and interest or that of your class.

How the Way of Life Bible Courses Can Be Used

Private study for the individual Christian
Sunday Schools
A textbook in Bible institutes and colleges
Home schooling curriculum
Study material in jails and prisons
Discipling new Christians
Refresher studies for Bible College graduates
Expository preaching outlines
Commentaries (e.g., Genesis, Isaiah, Daniel, Minor Prophets, Romans, Hebrews, Revelation)

The Review Questions

Most of these courses include review questions. A lot of time and effort has gone into the creation of these, which are designed to draw the student’s attention to the most important points of the lessons and to help him remember these points after the course is finished.

If you take the courses by self-study, don’t skip over the review questions. Find someone who will test you by presenting a selection of the review questions to you. This is a very important part of the learning process.

For the classroom setting, the teacher can use our review questions (plus his own, of course) to create appropriate sectional and final tests at the appropriate learning level.

See the online catalog at www.wayoflife.org for more information about these courses.

Sharing Policy: Much of our material is available for free, such as the hundreds of articles at the Way of Life web site. Other items we sell to help fund our expensive literature and foreign church planting ministries. Way of Life's content falls into two categories: sharable and non-sharable. Things that we encourage you to share include the audio sermons, O Timothy magazine, FBIS articles, and the free eVideos and free eBooks. You are welcome to make copies of these at your own expense and share them with friends and family, but they cannot be posted to web sites. You are also welcome to use excerpts from the articles in your writings, in sermons, in church bulletins, etc. All we ask is that you give proper credit. Things we do not want copied and distributed freely are items like the Fundamental Baptist Digital Library, print editions of our books, electronic editions of the books that we sell, the videos that we sell, etc. The items have taken years to produce at enormous expense in time and money, and we use the income from sales to help fund the ministry. We trust that your Christian honesty will preserve the integrity of this policy. "For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward" (1 Timothy 5:18).

Goal:Distributed by Way of Life Literature Inc., the Fundamental Baptist Information Service is an e-mail posting for Bible-believing Christians. Established in 1974, Way of Life Literature is a fundamental Baptist preaching and publishing ministry based in Bethel Baptist Church, London, Ontario, of which Wilbert Unger is the founding Pastor. Brother Cloud lives in South Asia where he has been a church planting missionary since 1979. Our primary goal with the FBIS is to provide material to assist preachers in the edification and protection of the churches.

Offering: We take up a quarterly offering to fund this ministry, and those who use the materials are expected to participate (Galatians 6:6) if they can. We do not solicit funds from those who do not agree with our preaching and who are not helped by these publications. We seek offerings only from those who are helped. OFFERINGS can be mailed or made online with with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Paypal. For information see: www.wayoflife.org/about/makeanoffering.html.
