Way of Life Literature - Bible Course FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you (Way of Life Literature) oversee my studies?
No, we do not actively oversee your studies. We provide course documents (syllabus, review questions, tests, etc.), the textbook, and any associated video's and PowerPoints. If you are in a class environment your teacher will provide oversight. We will do our best to answer questions, as stated further on in this FAQ sheet.
How do I know what to do?
The course syllabus guides you through your study. The syllabus often offers a "slow paced" option and an advanced (faster) option. It suggests when assignments are due and when to take tests. Here's a link to the Birds-eye View Syllabus for your review.
Will you answer questions?
Anyone is certainly welcome to contact us with questions. Our desire is that each student would successfully complete the course. We'll do our best to answer questions. Please note that we have very limited staff and can only help as we have ability and opportunity. Our help will be focused on those who demonstrate that they are taking the course work seriously.
How long do I have to complete my course?
Courses are designed to be completed within 15 weeks or less, as outlined in the course Syllabus. If you are not in a "classroom" (church class, etc, with a teacher) and you are doing the course on your own you are free to set your own schedule.
Can courses be used in a classroom setting with a teacher?
Yes! We encourage use of the courses in Sunday Schools, Home Schools, Bible Classes, Preacher and Teacher Training, etc. For class settings, students do NOT need to "enroll." The teacher will enroll, then download the doc material (review questions, tests, etc.) and provide it to the students. Note that each student is required to have a current edition of the textbook as the course Syllabus refers to specific editions.
Can I copy/duplicate the the pdf's (syllabus, review questions, tests, etc.) for distribution?
Please, no. We ask that you don't duplicate and distribute the pdf docs. The exception would be a classroom setting where a teacher distributes the material.
Can I duplicate the textbook pdf for distribution to my class?
Please no. The only income we receive for creating and publishing these serious Bible courses is the income from the textbooks (and some of the videos). The Bible says the workman is worthy of his reward. Expenses include frequent research trips to many parts of the world over many decades. We operate a full-time Bible college in one of the poorest nations on earth, yet our students purchase their textbooks. It is important that God’s people learn the value of sound Bible material.
