Way of Life Literature - Bible Course FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you (Way of Life Literature) oversee my studies?
No, we do not actively guide you as an individual or oversee your studies. Your level of success is entirely up to you. We provide course documents, textbook, and any associated video's and PowerPoints. If you are in a class environment your teacher will provide teaching and guidance. We will do our best to answer questions, as stated further on in this FAQ sheet.
How do I know what to do?
The course syllabus guides you through your study. The syllabus typically offers a "slow paced" option and an advanced (faster) option. It provides assignments in the book, videos, and PowerPoints which provides a complete course of study. Here's a link to the Birds-eye View Syllabus for your review.
Will you answer questions?
An enrolled student is certainly welcome to contact us with questions. Our desire is that each student would successfully complete the course. We'll do our best to answer questions. Please note that we have very limited staff and can only help as we have ability and opportunity. Our help will be focused on those who demonstrate that they are taking the course work seriously.
The docs are free. Why do I need to "enroll" to gain access?
Registration provides us with a firm count of how many signups and downloads we've had for each course. We need your contact information so we can notify you of any corrections or changes in the materials and also to gather feedback and comments.
Can courses be used in a classroom setting with a teacher?
Yes! We encourage use of the courses in Sunday Schools, Home Schools, Bible Classes, Preacher and Teacher Training, etc. For class settings, students do NOT need to "enroll." The teacher will enroll, then download the material and provide it to the students. Note that each student is required to have a current edition of the textbook as the course Syllabus refers to specific editions.
Can I copy/duplicate the the pdf's (syllabus, review questions, tests, etc.) for distribution?
Please, no. We ask that you don't duplicate and distribute the pdf docs. The exception would be a classroom setting where there is a teacher distributing the material.
Can I duplicate the textbook pdf for distribution to my class?
Please no. The only income we receive for creating and publishing these serious Bible courses is the income from the textbooks. The Bible says the workman is worthy of his reward. Expenses include frequent research trips to many parts of the world over many decades. The videos and PowerPoints and teaching documents are provided for free. The students can purchase their own textbooks or they can be purchased by the churches and homes. We operate a full-time Bible college in one of the poorest nations on earth, yet our students purchase their textbooks. It is important that God’s people learn the value of sound Bible material.
