KEEPING THE KIDS: HOW TO KEEP THE CHILDREN FROM FALLING PREY TO THE WORLD.

This series, which is based on the book by the same title, aims to help parents and churches raise children to be disciples of Jesus Christ and to avoid the pitfalls of the world, the flesh, and the devil.

Statistics show that a frightening percentage of children that grow up in Bible-believing churches drop out when they reach adolescence. They either go full-fledged into the world, or they remain on the periphery of church life, or they join a contemporary church that essentially promises them they can have Christ and the world, too. We are convinced that this does not have to happen, because God has given promises in His Word about child training, but winning the battle is not easy and requires complete dedication by the parents.

The material in Keeping the Kids is a collaborative effort. It contains testimonies from hundreds of individuals who provided feedback to our questionnaires on this subject, as well as powerful ideas gleaned from interviews with pastors, missionaries, and church people who have raised godly children.

The series deals with an extensive number of issues: Conversion, the husband-wife relationship, the necessity of permeating the home with Christian love, mothers as keepers at home, the father’s essential role as the spiritual head of the home, child discipline, separation from the pop culture, discipleship of youth, the grandparents’ role in “keeping the kids,” effectual prayer, and fasting.

The series about the destructive power of hypocrisy, neglect, bitterness, carnal criticism, anger, and of fathers provoking their children to wrath. It describes how parents can win and keep the children’s hearts. It shows how to have family devotions and how parents can train their children to have a daily Bible reading time. It emphasizes the importance of raising children in a sound church and lists the characteristics of such a church.

CHRIST'S MESSAGES TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES

It has been nearly 2,000 years since the Apostle John received Christ’s message to these churches, but never have the messages been any more pertinent than they are today. In our newest video series, David Cloud examines each of the churches of John's day for clues as to where our churches stand today. How would your church measure up under the gracious but penetrating eye of the Lord Jesus Christ? It is a question that bears asking in these last days.

Unlike many series on this topic, this is not purely informational or historical, but rather a strong exhortation to be ready for the Lord’s return.

The Lord’s powerful messages to the seven churches have a four-fold application. First, they were given to instruct the individual churches to which they are addressed. Second, they were given to instruct all churches. The lessons apply to every church of every place and time. Third, the messages were given to instruct individual believers. Finally, the messages offer a general overview of church history. Though this is not the major purpose of the Lord’s messages to the seven churches of Revelation, it appears to be a proper application. For example, Revelation 3:10 looks beyond anything that was experienced by the historical church at Philadelphia in the first century. In this sense, the messages are like a parable with one main teaching. By their divinely inspired order, we see the same pattern of increasing apostasy that is revealed in other ways in the New Testament. Compare 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 13; 4:3-4. I believe we are living today both in the Philadelphian and the Laodicean age. Though we are surrounded by the most incredible apostasy, there are still many Bible-believing churches that hold to the old paths and are patiently waiting to be saved out of the world before the Great Tribulation begins.

This presentation compares Calvinistic theology with the Bible and warns against the deception that a Christian is required to be either Calvinist or Arminian. ERRORS OF MODERN TEXTUAL CRITICISM (80 minutes, one DVD). The material for this presentation is drawn from the author's own extensive private library as well as from many important theological libraries in the U.S.A., Canada, and England. The modern versions (ASV, RSV, NASV, NIV, etc.) are based on the "science" of modern textual criticism which was developed in the 19th century and resulted in the English Revised Version of 1881. This two-part presentation exposes some of the chief errors of the “science” of textual criticism. We look at the principles of textual criticism and then at the theology of the most influential

names in textual criticism from the past 200 years, including Johann Bengel, Karl Lachmann, Johann Griesbach, B.F. Westcott, F.J.A. Hort, Philip Schaff, George Vance Smith, Ezra Abbot, Joseph Thayer, Caspar Rene Gregory, and the editors of the United Bible Societies Greek New Testament, Carlo Martini, Kurt Aland, and Bruce Metzger. We preached the lectures at Heritage Baptist University in Greenwood, Indiana, and used their collection of ancient Bibles as illustrations. We have also included pictures that we took on an extended

OLD TIME FUNDAMENTALISTS WHO STOOD FOR THE KJV (50 minutes, one DVD). Some recent publications have made the claim that fundamentalists of old did not defend the King James Bible and have argued that the defense of the KJV is of recent origin. This high-quality video presentation, which is packed with powerful visual illustrations, proves the error of this thinking. It documents fundamentalist leaders before 1960 who defended the King James Bible against the modern versions of their day. We look first at Benjamin Dearmore (1897-1969). He was Chairman of the Faculty at the Bible Baptist Seminary under J. Frank Norris until 1948 and also co-founded Worth Bible College and Trinity Valley Seminary. He edited an independent Baptist paper called The Message. Dearmore took a strong stand for the KJV. For example, in the May 28, 1959, issue of The Message, he wrote: “As for me, I will take the King James translation as the very Word of God for the English people. I believe it is without error. It is 100 percent correct.” Next we look at William Aberhart (1878-1943). He was an influential fundamentalist leader in western

Canada and took a bold stand for the KJV. We prove this with the testimony of his former students and with quotes from his writings. Finally we look at the life and ministry of Philip Mauro (1859-1952), a converted lawyer and one of the authors of The Fundamentals in the 1920s. His 1924 book Which Version: Authorized or Revised? boldly defends the KJV and refutes modern textual criticism. $9.95
