Christian truth is being challenged as never before by philosophies that are opposed to sound Bible teaching and preaching. Christians must know the Bible, but they also must be prepared to answer numerous subtle perversions of Bible truth -- modernism, ecumenism, the Charismatic movement, a never-ending multiplicity of Bible versions, Christian rock, psychology, positivism and easy-believism, to name a few.

You will find that these eleven videotape presentations will give you new insight on these difficult topics. This set of tapes is perfect for the person who wants to hear sound preaching on these subjects or who knows of someone who is being harmed by these serious attacks on Bible truth. We know there are many today who will watch a videotape when they will not read a book.

We are making the entire set of twelve presentations on 13 DVDs for $205. Shipping and handling are separate.

Each presentation is professionally produced and a multiplicity of photographs and other visual aids are mixed into the high-quality presentations to illustrate the message.

These are important presentations for Churches, Bible Colleges, and Home Schools that want to prepare their people to deal with the apostasy of these last days.

Thank you for your consideration,
David Cloud

BIBLICAL SEPARATION AND ITS NEGLECT AMONG FUNDAMENTAL BAPTISTS (90 minutes, DVD)

This video presentation begins with an overview of the doctrine of separation from the Bible. The author deals with the Foundation of separation, the Method of separation, the Reason for separation, the Basis for separation, the Initiative of separation, and the Attitude of separation. In the second section of the presentation, he illustrates the widespread neglect of separation today among fundamental Baptists as a warning to those who have ears to hear. He gives many specific examples from bookstores, radio stations, from the arena of music and missions, pertaining to the use of psychology and textual criticism, etc.

THE ERRORS OF MODERN TEXTUAL CRITICISM (80 minutes, DVD)

The material for this presentation is drawn from the author's own extensive private library as well as from many important theological libraries in the U.S.A., Canada, and England. The modern versions (ASV, RSV, NASV, NIV, etc.) are based on the "science" of modern textual criticism which was developed in the 19th century and resulted in the English Revised Version of 1881. Recently the book From the Mind of God to the Mind of Man, written by fundamental Baptists, claimed that "...textual criticism ... is not a negative attitude toward the inspiration of the Bible. It is in reality an effort to assure us that we have the inspired Word of God" (p. 24). We are convinced that this is a false view of textual criticism; and in this series of multimedia messages, we have identified four grievous errors: 1. Modern textual criticism ignores the supernatural character of the Bible. 2. Modern textual criticism ignores Satan's attack on the Bible. 3. Modern textual criticism ignores God's promise of preservation. 4. Modern textual criticism ignores the preeminence of faith. Contrary to what some are saying today, the battle against modern textual criticism is not new. The author quotes a wide variety of authorities that stood against modern textual criticism in England and America throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. He exposes the deep Unitarian connection to modern textual criticism. He documents the apostasy of the editors of the United Bible Societies Greek New Testament. He discusses the issue of Erasmus and his relationship to the Received Text. He traces the history of the devil's attack upon the Word of God that began in the Garden of Eden and has continued unabated throughout the Old and New Testament eras. He shows that the Apostles warned that the Scriptures would be attacked by false teachers, and the centuries immediately following the death of the Apostles witnessed exactly such attacks, as heretics attempted to change the Scriptures to suit their false doctrines and thereby introduced great confusion into the transmission of the text. He describes the battle for the Bible that went on during Dark Ages, as Rome did everything in its power to keep the Bible out of the hands of the common people. He traces the history of the English Bible from the days of Wycliffe and Tyndale and Rogers. He documents the massive attack upon the Bible that is going on in our day through theological Modernism and New Evangelicalism. He cites more than a dozen standard works on textual criticism to prove this modern textual criticism is built upon the premise that the pure Scripture was not preserved by God. Finally, he shows that God requires faith. It is impossible to find the Word of God apart from faith; yet, modern textual criticism is founded not upon faith in God's promises but upon the cleverness of human scholarship. This, in itself, is a great error.

NEW EVANGELICALISM: A VERY GREAT DANGER TO THE LORD'S CHURCHES (120 minutes, DVD)

This presentation deals with the subject of New Evangelicalism from the standpoint of its history, its theology, its most popular defenders and its certain outcome. Many have said it is the best and most practical presentation they have seen on this subject. New Evangelicalism stands on a shaky middle ground between fundamental Bible-believing Christians and the wider world of Romanism, Pentecostalism and the apostasy of mainline, liberal Protestant denominations. This presentation traces the history of New Evangelicalism back through the modernism that was prevalent in Germany in the 1800s and in America in the early 1900s. It examines the faulty philosophies of the men who have promoted New Evangelicalism: Billy Graham, John Harold Ockenga, Harold Lindsell, John R. W. Stott, Max Lucado, Charles Stanley, Warren Wiersbe, Chuck Swindoll, Chuck Colson, Luis Palau, Franklin Graham, C. Peter Wagner, Bill McCartney, Bill Bright, Stephen Olford, Jack Van Impe, Joseph Stowell; as well as the schools which have passed this philosophy on to a generation of preachers and missionaries: Wheaton College, Fuller Theological Seminary, Dallas Theological Seminary; Westminster College, Gordon-Conwell, Biola, and others. Is God pleased with preachers who refuse to separate from evil? Who refuse to name the names of false teachers? Who refuse to preach the negative things of the Bible? Who have earned the praise and acclamation of the world and its institutions? Who are willing to unite with those who preach a "different gospel' than the one which can save a soul? This presentation gives clear, Bible answers to the many questions raised by New Evangelicalism, so that Christians can arm themselves against this dangerous and unbiblical philosophy.

WHY WE HOLD TO THE KING JAMES BIBLE (200 minutes, 2 DVD)

There is much false information being published about the Bible version issue, and defenders of the King James Bible in general are being charged with being divisive and ignorant. This high-quality videotape presents two of the chief reasons why we are convinced that English-speaking people need to hold to the King James Bible in the face of the onslaught of the modern versions. A multiplicity of photographs of individuals, books, and other visual aids are professionally mixed into this high-quality presentation to illustrate the message. I. THE KJV HAS THE RIGHT GREEK TEXT. In our estimation, the first and foremost reason why we need to hold to the KJV is that it is based on the right Greek New Testament, whereas the modern versions are based upon a corrupted Greek New Testament that was fashioned in the 19th century out of unbelieving, humanistic principles. In this video presentation we help the viewer understand this matter by examining Four Periods of Church History: The Apostolic period, which was the era of the giving of the Bible; the 2nd and 3rd centuries, which was the era of the corruption of the Bible; the Dark Ages, which was the era of the persecution against the Bible; and the Reformation, which was the era of the printing of the Bible. We show that throughout this long period up to the late 1800s, God's people had confidence in the preserved Scriptures. Bible believers of that era were not trying to find the Scriptures; they were busy preaching the Scriptures to the ends of the earth! The modern Greek New Testament, to the contrary, was founded upon the principle that the Scriptures were not divinely preserved by God but were corrupted. According to modern textual criticism, a corruption of the New Testament somehow became the Bible of God's people around the 3rd century and it was that corruption that was spread throughout the world and used by God's people for 15 and more centuries until the end of the 1800s, when (allegedly) the pure New Testament was finally recovered through the theories of textual criticism. All of this is carefully examined in the video. II. THE KJV HAS THE RIGHT DOCTRINE. The second most important reason for holding to the King James Bible, in our estimation, is that it is doctrinally pure as opposed to the corruption which is evident in the modern versions. This video presentation explodes the popular myth that no doctrine is affected by the various versions.

THE CALVINISM DEBATE: WHO IS THE ENEMY? (60 minutes, 1 DVD)

This video message deals with the controversial debate on Calvinistic or TULIP theology. The speaker does not believe one has to accept either Calvinistic or Arminian theology. One can, instead, be simply a Biblicist and accept the Bible's teaching on its face without making an attempt to neatly reconcile every seeming contradiction. Systematic theology is helpful and has an important place in teaching Bible truth, but it can be dangerous if the "theologian" attempts to go beyond simple Bible statements to answer questions that we cannot answer on this side of eternity. The speaker is convinced that the attempt to do this was one of John Calvin's chief errors. The author has studied Calvin's Institutes of Christian Religion and concludes that Calvinism, as it was taught by Calvin himself, contained several serious errors. The video message concludes by considering "Who or what is the chief enemy in this debate?" A two-fold answer is given: (1) The chief enemy is any theology that dampens evangelistic zeal; and (2) the chief enemy is any methodology that corrupts evangelistic zeal. The author is convinced that the practice of "easy believism" or "quick Prayerism" is as harmful to the cause of Jesus Christ as hyper Calvinism.

OLD TIME FUNDAMENTALISTS WHO DEFENDED THE KING JAMES BIBLE (50 minutes, 1 DVD)

Some recent publications have made the claim that fundamentalists of old did not defend the King James Bible and have argued that the defense of the KJV is of recent origin. This high-quality one-hour videotape, which is packed with powerful visual illustrations, proves the error of this thinking. It documents fundamentalist leaders before 1960 who defended the King James Bible against the modern versions of their day. Three key fundamentalist leaders are featured, each of who was very influential. They are Benjamin Franklin Dearmore, William Aberhart, and Philip Mauro.

DANGERS IN CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORES (60 minutes, 1 DVD)

Sadly and strangely, one of the great spiritual dangers facing Bible-believing churches today is the unscriptural material that lines the shelves of the typical Christian bookstore. This video message carefully exposes several of these dangerous philosophies that permeate the average Christian bookstore, including the philosophy of positivism, the ecumenical philosophy, the anti-fundamentalism philosophy, the charismatic doctrine, the church growth doctrine, and the humanistic psychology. Some of the popular Christian writers that are considered are Robert Schuller, Kay Arthur, Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah, Billy Graham, Chuck Colson, John Maxwell, Philip Yancey, Jim Cymbala, Max Lucado, Elisabeth Elliot, Jerry Bridges, Jack Hayford, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, James Dobson, and C.S. Lewis.

SOUND CHRISTIAN MUSIC VS. CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC (120 minutes, 1 DVD)

This up-to-date presentation deals with the errors and philosophies that permeate contemporary Christian music and demonstrates conclusively the dangers of borrowing the world's music. The presentation examines the overt worldliness in lifestyle, appearance, and methods of the Contemporary Christian Music industry. Further, it shows the connection between the charismatic movement, the Roman Catholic Church, and sound, Bible-believing churches which adopt the music and philosophies of CCM. Is music neutral? Should Christians rock? Isn't CCM a good way to entice the world into the church? Where should we draw the line in Christian music? How does worldly music enter Bible-believing churches? What are the dangers of this new music? Isn't it legalistic to have specific standards for music? For Bible answers to these and many other important questions on the issue of music, we highly recommend this video. Many who have viewed the presentation have said that it is the best that they have seen on the dangers of Contemporary Christian Music.

IS SOUTHERN GOSPEL SAFE? (120 minutes, 1 DVD)

I believe it is important to speak out on this issue for two reasons. First, Southern Gospel is big business today and is very influential in fundamental Baptist churches, not only in the South, but also throughout the country and even in Canada and elsewhere. Second, following the lead of Bill Gaither and other prominent names, Southern Gospel groups are rapidly adopting the "music is neutral" philosophy of the Contemporary Christian Music world. In fact, any walls that once existed to separate Southern Gospel from the Christian rock world are rapidly being torn down.

In this presentation we do not take the position that all Southern Gospel is wrong. In our estimation (though not everyone might personally enjoy the country-folk style), there is Southern Gospel music that is spiritual and seeks not to entertain the flesh but to edify the spirit. We praise the Lord for all Christian music, Southern or otherwise, which rejects sexy dance rhythms, which has scriptural lyrics, which seeks solely to glorify Jesus Christ and edify the saints, and which is produced by faithful Christians.

Sadly, though, much of the Southern Gospel incorporates worldly pop, country, boogie, and rock rhythms, and is oriented toward entertainment. It is the latter that is closely akin to Contemporary Christian Music. As a matter of fact, commercial Southern gospel today is one of the branches of the larger CCM world.

DANGERS OF CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP MUSIC (120 minutes) (one DVD)

Much research has gone into this production. In 2003 I read about 30 books on the subject of contemporary praise, and I analyzed about 50 of the popular contemporary praise albums. Through the years I have studied contemporary praise at large ecumenical conferences which I have attended with press credentials, such as New Orleans ’87, Indianapolis ’90, and St. Louis 2000. Within the last couple of years I have attended services at congregations that are influential in the CCW movement, including Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church in California, Bill Hybels’ Willowcreek Community Church near Chicago, the Anaheim Vineyard Church, lately pastored by John Wimber, Carpenter’s Home Church in Lakeland, Florida (where Michael W. Smith recorded his largest-selling worship album), and other congregations that are influential in this movement. Following are the seven warnings that I give in this presentation: 1. Contemporary Christian Worship is built upon the false philosophy that music is neutral. 2. Contemporary Christian Worship is largely a rock & roll feeling-fest. 3. Contemporary Christian Worship is not separated from the world. 4. Contemporary Christian Worship is intimately entangled with the Charismatic movement. 5. Contemporary Christian Worship is one of the glues of the ecumenical movement. 6. Contemporary Christian Worship goes hand in hand with a worldly philosophy of Christianity and a gradual lowering of all standards. 7. Contemporary Christian Worship is confused about true biblical worship.

DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN SACRED AND CONTEMPORARY STYLES OF CHRISTIAN MUSIC (90 minutes) (one DVD)

The goal of this very practical presentation is to give the believer some simple tools that he can use to discern the difference between sensual and sacred music. This video builds on three former presentations on music: Sound Christian Music vs. CCM, Is Southern Gospel Music Safe, and Dangers of Contemporary Praise Music. In these we deal more with the lyrics and the musicians and the associations of the music (i.e., worldliness, ecumenism, charismaticism). In “Distinguishing Between Styles” we deal with the music itself, learning how to analyze it. We use 55 clips of music to illustrate the points. We spent many weeks preparing this message, and all of the music clips are ones we have created or have gathered ourselves.

HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH BIBLE ** (120 minutes) (one DVD)

This presentation covers the fascinating history of the English Bible from the 15th to the 17th centuries. We preached the lectures at Heritage Baptist University in Greenwood, Indiana, and used their collection of ancient Bibles as illustrations. We have also included pictures that we took on an extended research trip to England, Wales, and Europe in April 2003. The presentation focuses on three major Bibles, the Wycliffe of 1484, the Tyndale of 1525, and the King James Bible of 1611, though we also cover the others of that era, such as the Geneva. The early history of our English Bible reads almost like a novel. We look at John Wycliffe’s times, doctrine, and his possible association with the ancient Bible-believing Waldenses, and we look closely at his battle with the Roman Catholic Church over the issue of giving his English-speaking people the first Bible in their own language. We stand amazed at a scene about 40 years after Wycliffe’s death, when the Catholic authorities dug up the Bible translator’s bones and burned them! Then we look at the challenging life and work of William Tyndale, who had to leave his beloved England and live as a refugee on the Continent in order to give his people their first New Testament translated from Greek. We trace his godly life from place to place in Europe as he tried to stay a step ahead of the Catholic authorities who wanted to arrest him. Finally we look with sadness at his arrest, imprisonment, and martyrdom in the castle at Vilvoord, near Brussels, Belgium. Next we consider the production of the peerless King James Bible, at how it was proposed to King James by Puritans, how it was created by an amazing process involving six companies of about 50 masterly translators, and how it has became the standard English Bible for centuries afterward.
