Hello, friends and subscribers to the Fundamental Baptist Information Service. I want to do something that I don’t think I have done before on this mailing list. I want to recommend a church planter that I consider worthy of support.

His name is Samuel Mak. For many years he was the pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church in Singapore, and currently he has launched out into a church planting, preacher-training ministry.

I have known Brother Mak for many years and have spent a lot of time with him on preaching trips to Singapore. I have complete confidence in what he is doing.

He is a proven leader, is strong and uncompromising for the truth of God’s Word, is an effective preacher and teacher, and is working in a needy mission field in Southeast Asia.

He did some deputation in churches in the States and Canada earlier this year, but his deputation had to be cut short when his mother-in-law died a month or so ago. I am praying that he will get the full support that he needs so that he will be able to give his complete attention to God’s calling.
