March 6, 1998 (Fundamental Baptist Information Service, P.O. Box 610368, Port Huron, MI 48061-0368, fbns@wayoflife.org) - The following is from CSA News, March-April 1998 (The Creation Science Association for Mid-America, 22509 State Line Rd., Cleveland, MO 64734. 816-618-3610, CSAHQ@juno.com) --

Evolutionists constantly claim "Creation is Religion, Evolution is Science." Yet their own testimony convicts them of fraud. Science, according to their own claims, is supposed to be testable, demonstrable, repeatable, certainly not least, "falsifiable." By falsifiable, we mean that, if the claim is false, it is possible to test it and demonstrate that it is false. I doubt that I could count the times I have heard an evolutionist assert that Creation is not science because it is not falsifiable. (Incidentally, the word does not really exist, you must guess at how to spell it.)

Webster's New World Dictionary defines "imagination" as "the act or power of forming mental images of what is not present." Now, consider these interesting quotes by evolutionists:

"In tracking the emergence of the eukaryotic cell, one enters a kind of wonderland where scientific pursuit leads almost to fantasy. Cell and molecular biologists must construct cellular worlds in their own imaginations... Imagination, to some degree, is essential for grasping the key events in cellular history" (B.D. Dyer and R.A. Obar, Tracing the History of Eukarvotic Cells, Columbia University Press 1994, pp.2 & 3).

"Even with DNA sequence data, we have no direct access to the processes of evolution, so objective reconstruction of the vanished past can be achieved only by creative imagination" (N. Takahata, A Genetic Perspective on the Origin & History of Humans, Annual Review of Biology & Systematics, 1995).

"The real question is whether we have enough imagination to reconstruct their lives [the lives of early humans]" (Robert Blumenschine, paleoanthropologist of Rutgers University in a 1989 US. News and World Report cover story).

"The only certainty in this data-poor, imagination-rich, endlessly fascinating field is that there are plenty of surprises left to come" (Michael Lemonick, "How Man Began," Time, March 14, 1994).

Obviously we cannot test, demonstrate, repeat, or falsify things that are merely imagined. These experts do not claim imagination is required to do cell or human biology (because those are sciences). But, imagination, not science, is required to "grasp cellular history," achieve "objective reconstruction of the vanished past," and "reconstruct" the lives of early humans. Remember, all these "stories" conflict with known laws of science. Summarizing: "Creation stories in the Bible, which are all consistent with known science, must not be called science. However, evolution stories are good science, though all of them conflict with known science, and they can be achieved only by creative imagination in a wonderland of data-poor, imagination-rich fantasy."

Thanks to Frank Sherwin for these imagination-rich jewels of evolvo science.
