February 1, 2000 (David W. Cloud, Fundamental Baptist Information Service, P.O. Box 610368, Port Huron, MI 48061-0368, fbns@wayoflife.org) - The following important project is being undertaken by World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions. They are developing a database of places in America that need a good independent Baptist church. The database is being made available on the web to missionaries and church planters who need such information. Following is the site: http://www.wwntbm.com/placesinUSA.htm. If you know of such places, please take a few minutes to contact them. This could be the first step in establishing a New Testament church in that part of the country. Please note that Way of Life Literature is not collecting this information. We are simply making our friends aware of the project. Address any information or questions directly to World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions [cp@wwntbm.com (e-mail), 704-730-1440 (phone), 704-730-147 (fax)] --

WHERE ARE CHURCHES NEEDED IN AMERICA?
Today in America there are still places where there are no independent Baptist churches. Though independent Baptist churches have sent church planters around the world to start churches, America now has a work that must be done on her soil. I am convinced America needs Church Planters. It is hard to believe that in our own country, people still have to drive 30-45 miles to find a New Testament Baptist church.
"Where can God use me in missions in America?" is the question I have been most asked by church planters in training. As you realize, answering this question with specifics is difficult. We attempt to answer these men with general regions, but we realize that we have a lack of accurate and specific information. Though we all know America needs more fundamental Baptist churches, my question is, "Exactly where in America are these churches needed?"
Our Missions agency, World Wide New Testament Baptist Missions, has neither Biblical authority nor human aspiration to plant, maintain, and operate churches. We believe that the Word of God teaches that churches are to give birth to churches. We believe it must be churches that commission and send out church planters.
OUR AGENCY IS CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN RESEARCHING THE PLACES IN AMERICA NEEDING INDEPENDENT, FUNDAMENTAL, BIBLE-BELIEVING, MISSIONARY SENDING, BAPTIST CHURCHES. Our research is requiring hundreds of volunteers who will help us compile a national database of these towns in America without a fundamental work.
Since you are in the place and position of Gods choosing, we are asking for you to consider being a field researcher for this project. Being a field researcher would simply involve providing us the names of the towns and the states in which they are located, that need New Testament Baptist churches.
The data gathered from all our field researchers will be available on-line and also produced in brochure form to give to "church planters" and "church planters-in-training" seeking Gods will. We at World Wide simply want to be a conduit of information for church planters who are both looking for and needing information to pray over.
We would like to make the submission of the researchers information as easy as possible. Therefore
Will you consider at least 10 towns you know of in our country that need an Independent Baptist Church. However, you may submit as many as you know, then:
* You may submit your information via email: cp@wwntbm.com
* You may submit your information on-line at our website: http://www.wwntbm.com/churchplanting.asp
* You may telephone our office and submit your information to Mrs. Watson or Mrs. Collins: 704-730-1440
* You may fax the information to us: 704-730-1479
Thanks in advance for whatever help God will use you to provide. Please feel free to enlist others of like faith and practice that might be willing to help church planters in this endeavor.
Yours truly,
John M. OMalley
