From time to time, I publish some of the goodies from my interesting mailbox, and many people have told me that they enjoy reading these things. Following are some items from the last couple of months:
THEY LIKE MY PREACHING
Our family has enjoyed your many emails and has been devouring your Advanced Bible Study this year! I want to thank you for your strong, unwavering convictions and for your faithfulness in preaching the Word via the internet. You have opened our family's eyes to many Truths of which we are eternally grateful. You have been a beacon of light to us!
YOURE A BLESSING !!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP OVER THE YEARS!!!!!!!
May I thank you first for your unwavering stand on the many issues you preach and teach on. I can't think of an occasion that I have disagreed with you. However I have been raked over the coals so to speak for promoting these fundamental values of our Lord and Word. I made the mistake of alerting our elders to Billy Grahams waffling positions and it was your research that I used to do so. ... God Bless you and the work you do. It is hard. But I'm glad you're doing so that I can rest in your labours.
A friend had forwarded one of your messages to me and since that time I subscribed to receiving your articles. Let me say they have been a real blessing and a real eye opener to many issues. Thank for the many hours you spend in your studies. I greatly appreciate your input on the Bible versions.
I have been noticing for some years every time I read my Bible through that God names names. He did it in the Old Testament, and He does it in the New. Jannes and Jambres, Ahab and Jezebel, Hophni and Phinehas, Simon Magos, Alexander the coppersmith, Demas, and Judas and a hundred more. He identifies heretical groups by name, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Nicolaitanes, and the synagogue of Satan. He exposes doctrinal aberrants by their beliefs, inside the church and outside it. Whole books and parts of others are given over to explicit warnings about apostasy and heresy. And it is politically expedient for spiritual dwarfs to SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH! the watchmen on the walls? No way, matey.
Greetings brother Cloud. First I would like to thank you for advice that you gave me last year. I was a member of a Southern Baptist Church and was needing advice on what to do about the constant compromise. You advised me to find an independent fundamental Baptist church, and finally I did. I really love my church, and have been attending there for over a year. I have downloaded some of your sermons from sermon audio, and I must say that they have truly been a blessing to me. I especially enjoy the sermons on eternal security. They have to be the most through teachings that I have ever heard on the subject. Thank you for your faithful service to our Lord.
You might not remember me, but we met in Australia. I was one of the guys that bought one of your two last DVDs Distinguishing Between Sacred and Contemporary Styles of Christian Music. I would like to thank you personally for being a blessing to me; I was not aware of the different type of music. I always thought that a Christian store can only have Christian music; now I am aware and I am very selective of the music I buy to make sure it pleases our Lord.
You probably wouldnt remember me, but I corresponded with you some last year. We had moved from the ------ area to ------- and I was in shock. We had been fully immersed in the Hyles movement in ------ and when we joined Bible Baptist, the pastor was preaching a lot on repentance. I had been taught the Hyles version of repentance and what I was hearing from the new pastor didnt set well with me. Then I started reading quotes from other old-timers we were taught to worship as heroes of the faith and they preached a different repentance than Hyles did. Then I started corresponding with you about repentance and you told me the best thing I needed to hear: Forget what Jack Hyles says, forget what David Cloud says, just read the Bible and see what it says. Not long after that we moved back to the ----- area to our old church and the difference I noticed was amazing! The pray this prayer and you'll be saved heresy was so obvious to me and my wife that we eventually moved back to ------. It was during our time back in ------ that I realized for ten years I had applied what I was taught from the pulpit to my reading of the Scriptures, instead of looking at the Scriptures to see what God said. I am more careful now how I present the Gospel, because for years I knocked on doors and gave people the 1-2-3 Pray With Me plan of salvation. You probably have a full prayer list, but any petition to the Lord for our soulwinning ministry would be appreciated. Thank you for your straightforwardness and faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dear Brother Cloud: I am writing you to tell you what a blessing the mp3 sermons have been to me since I've purchased them. It is hard to find preaching like this today. You and your ministry have been very helpful to me, thank you and God continue to bless you in 2005.
Amen! Totally agree with this article [Rick Warrens Dangerous Judge Not Ecumenism]. The evil of New Evangelicalism is a plague that is contributing to loose living, disregard for the Scriptures, infiltration of contemporary Christian music into churches and the general lack of loving but firm biblical discipline within the church. Keep sounding the alarm!
Thank you so much for standing and being there for us and all the others trying to share the truth. We really appreciate you and your dedication. Please keep just like you are.
I believe that you are one of a handful left that has not caved in to the religiosity and its rewards of this final apostate hour, and it is of uttermost hope to me that you remain that way. Make no mistake about it, you are sorely needed Brother Cloud, and this need increases with each wave of apostasy and ecumenism that breaks over us with tsunami-like proportions. May the Lord richly bless you and yours.
I just want to say, do you know how many of us starve to have a preacher like David Cloud? I would almost be tempted to move in his town, if it were possible. This response to the southern Baptist preacher was in order, and clever. Blessings to you, Bro. Cloud.
Until I started reading your material, I was a staunch NIV person. At last count we had probably 7 different Modern Versions in our house. It took about FOUR YEARS of reading your material to turn me around, and now I am a staunch supporter of the Received Text and the KJV. I do stop short of being KJV-Only, and by that I mean I believe a version should be made using the exact same manuscripts used to translate the KJV, and the motivation should ONLY be to update the language slightly. So far, the only Bible Ive seen like that is Greens Modern KJV, but I've read some things in that past that have led me not to use it because there seems to be some language flaws in his translation.
I am writing to say thank you. I don't know why I did not email sooner. Whilst browsing your excellent website about 18 months ago I came across a church in your directory that was near to me (Bethany Baptist Church, Pontypridd, South Wales). I was an Anglican until then and had always been. Every Sunday I (for some unknown reason) plodded along through each service getting absolutely nowhere with its wishy washy theology and its rituals (indeed, some quite catholic rituals). It was entirely just a duty or a chore to go every Sunday (although I did not dislike it). After reflecting on all of the fuss and news coverage of the homosexuality in the church and the new archbishop etc. I came to realise just how ridiculously false and heretical the Anglican church, in general, is. I sent an email to the aforementioned church and started attending there. Even on my first visit to a meeting I was left awestruck by the power of the preaching and immediately recognized the church as Godly. Whats more is that I came to realize I was not saved. But praise the Lord, I am now. I am growing in faith and in the knowledge of the Holy Bible (Authorised KJ only at this church) and of our lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. So I just want to say thank you for your work and your website, through which the lord led me to Himself. Without which, I may not have been redeemed. May God richly bless your work.
I can't tell you how much I get out of Way of Life website! Thank you for your faithfulness, dedication, and love for our Lord. You have been a blessing unto me.
Our Lord Jesus delivered my husband and me from the Catholic Church. We have been searching for a local church in vain. We have been to four different denominations that we liked, but they were all ecumenical. For example, one wanted to take us to a unity prayer service to the very Catholic Church that we had been delivered from! We live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Do you have any encouraging words? We are worn out. How we thank God for the internet and for fine folks like you who put Jesus above all. I really do not know what we would do without it. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to meet anyone in person who has discernment about this diabolical ecumenical movement. Most around here seem to be buying it hook, line, and sinker. We have shared our testimony and passed out very good articles exposing it, but they say these folks are disgruntled, etc. Thank you again for this site and information. God bless you.
Thank you for the info and the O Timothy magazine. It certainly keeps us informed; I some times wonder where their minds are.
This is a great article [Preserved in Egypt or Preserved in Gods Churches]. Its interesting to me that not only is deception found in the Modern Versions, but there is much deception ABOUT the Modern Versions, as you have diligently pointed out time and time again. I remember when I first started to seriously consider your position on the Modern Versions... up until that point (basically my whole life!) I was told that those who hold to the KJB do so because they simply loved the old English... and jokes were made about fundamentalists that they believed God actually talks in old English. Things were said jokingly, They believe if old English was good enough for Peter & Paul, then it's good enough for me. NOT ONCE in my whole life was it ever brought up to me that the Modern Versions are based on completely different manuscripts. I had never heard of the Textus Receptus. There is so much ignorance about this topic, but there is MUCH deception. Now that I am convinced and convicted about the KJB I have begun to share what I have learned with other believers... and it's been very eye opening for a lot of people.... and many have the same reaction I had... ANGER. Anger that I was never taught the truth, and in fact, the truth was hidden and made fun of... by CHRISTIANS. Were supposed to love and cherish Gods Word, but in many churches the true Word of God is made fun of and lied about (intentional or not, its still lying if it isnt the truth). Again, great article! Lets boycott Egypt!
Absolutely outstanding [referring to the article The Churchs Song Service]!!! This is excellent! Thank you, brother, for your tremendous ministry.
You have summarized these thoughts well [referring to the article The Churchs Song Service]. May God use them for His glory and honor. Martin Luther summed it up best when he said, Next to the Word of God, Music deserves the highest praise. The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man that he should proclaim the Word of God through Music. Amen and amen! Each of us as song leaders and musicians should be striving to edify the body of Christ and to proclaim His greatness. We should be teaching the great truths of Gods Word in a manner that will allow them to be remembered. As has been said, Things in song are remembered long.
I pray the Lord will give you strength to continue ... in your valuable work. The need of the hour is so great and there are so few willing to speak the truth that offends so many. A vigorous debate among Christians regarding what constitutes godly separation and what defines ungodly division is so much needed but so little desired. Consequently, there is a greet need for men of God willing to confront the compromise and error of this day in such a way that those involved in it are forced to repent or attempt to defend their position publicly. We thank you for being that sort of a man.
I simply wanted to thank you for your outstanding website -- so filled with sound articles and Christ centered reading. My redeemed heart has been crying out for teaching that cuts through all the man-centered theology and watered down repentance-free gospel presentations.
How wonderful to find your website. I was beginning to believe that the problem is with me, not with all the other people who thing that all the Purpose Driven stuff is Biblical, wonderful, and a gift from God. Obviously I am not very popular right now, but so be it. My church is almost assuredly going PDL. In fact, we have been on the path for some time now, but we in the congregation didn't realize it. Is there advice as to how to cope, how to deal with this? I feel like we are becoming part of the end-time falling-away. Thank you for your help. May God bless your ministry.
I just received my complete DVD set of Issues Facing the Churches on Friday. I have not gotten through all of them yet, but the ones that I have viewed are great. Thanks for taking the time to research your material before you present it. The videos have been very informative and have been used of the Lord to remind me of my duty to remain a separated Baptist. Your ministry has influenced me in a positive way. Thanks.
I listened to both parts of the messages, Sacred vs. Contemporary Christian Music--what an eye opener!! I am thankful to the Lord for Way of Life. Thank you for your obedience to Him in giving those messages. I had never realized that some of the Gospel music I had been listening to was based on Rock and Roll. When you said that the style of the music has to match the message really has made me more discerning when listening to some of this CCM. ... Thank you again for those messages--God bless you.
Our family thanks the Lord for Brother Cloud and his defense of the KJV. I download many of his sermons from Sermon Audio, burn them on a CD and listen to them going to and from work. I and my family have learned a lot. While I am not Baptist, there is no separation between men who are faithful to the Word of God. I haven't heard anything I disagree with. Brother Clouds warnings against the apostasy found in the Evangelical and Charismatic movements have encouraged my wife and I toward remaining faithful even when family and friends go the other way.
I just read your article on the King James Only term. That is something that needed to be clarified, and you did a very good job of doing that. It was an outstanding article, and I appreciate your spirit and stand.
Thank you so much for all the great information that you assemble for us. I use your materials almost weekly while preparing for my Sunday School Lessons. Keep up the good work! I Really appreciate your faithfulness to the word of God.
To hear these news items, its like hearing a light in the darkness; like the peaceful sound of a creek or babbling brook in a dry, thirsty land. Sometimes I think nobody is courageous enough to talk straight or stand up for the Word or Jesus in these dark times, especially where I live in Virginia. But then I read your news. Thank God for your ministry. I am sorry I have been late to send money, but I am in between jobs. But I do plan to send out money this week. You will never know what encouragement you have been to me these last few weeks.
God really does speak through you! Inspirational! ... Thank you for your ministry. It has reawakened my sensitivity to sin and to God. May I find grace and courage to embrace conviction.
I just wanted to write and thank you for all the material that you work so diligently on. I pray that God blesses you. I have just turned twenty and I have been saved since I was seventeen. I live in Queensland Australia. I was in a liberal church till I moved here and now I am in an IFB church that preaches the truth, praise the Lord. I wanted to say that what you teach lines up with what my church teaches and I have been helped so much in my walk with the Lord by your materials. I'm sorry that you have so many critics too, although it is a part of public ministry. ... Your materials are awesome and they are well researched. Thank you for them and may God bless you abundantly.
Your messages on Southern gospel music just tell it like it is. I'm not as enthused about southern gospel as I use to be. [Ive listened to the] excellent sermons on Southern Gospel Music. I've also read your articles on Southern Gospel on your website. They are great! God is using you to help many of us. I appreciate your ministry more than I'll ever be able to tell you. God bless you, brother David.
Thank you for your directory. My wife and I searched many a day for a good Bible believing church, with all the flaky quack churches out there it was very hard. We have been Christians for 12 years now--born again but started to die of starvation, but praise the Lord he directed us to start feeding ourselves even while still going to this love-love, God is male/female, homos are born that way, youths in fornication in the next pew church. Finally enough was enough and we got out--now what? You find the same thing in most churches along with the latest sports news from the pulpit and Rick Warrens twisted views; then this guy told us about a church in Radisson Sask. Canada, so we drove the 40 miles to meet with him, Pastor Alan Vaal, they are KJV only--strict!! Women have their God given duties as the men also, no foolish music. The first thing he did was to find out if we were truly saved, now is that a pastor? He then gave us a copy of your O Timothy news letter; we read it and said YES this is it! The type of believers we are looking for, people who are not afraid to speak the Biblical truth. ... I logged onto your web site and started to read--read it all, ordered all your Bible studies, MP3's of preachers, your Way of Life Encyclopedia and other cd's. Thank you very much for your dedicated work it is good to see the Lord has his remnant out there just when we thought the whole church world was totally corrupt (isn't our Lord wonderful to show us a glimpse of his own and how to get there). ... Anyway, thank you, David Cloud, our prayers are with you and at times our support.
Keep up the excellent informative work! I read EVERY article!
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your emails and your word from our Lord. Thank you for presenting the truth from the Bible to us each week. In addition, thank you for being a resource to me as a widower. Your emails helped me stay on track and kept me from many snares of the enemy.
Just a brief note about my salvation history. I was born into a Lutheran household. My family then went to an E. Free church. I went to Trinity College, Wheaton college briefly and I went to the Willowcreek church. I was married in an Episcopal church. I did not encounter my salvation until I was 42! (I am your age.) I did not know your type of preaching until a year ago. What a fulfilling thrill it is to hear the truth! I thank you so much for surrendering to God. It has blessed my life greatly.
The Lord has recently blessed me with some money and I want you to have a portion of that. The blessing I receive from your e-mail messages each week is far more valuable than the amount that I am sending. Your writings, your lessons, speak directly to me helping me to understand the enormity of Gods grace and love, and how unworthy I am to be the recipient of either. They help me to move through the deceits and pitfalls that are found in the mouths and actions of so many pastors today. And they give me the knowledge of how to refute those people, and the courage to do so. I pray that He will continue to give you all the strength and endurance you need to continue to do His work in such a wonderful way.
I am a Navy Chaplain who has been blessed over the last several years by your website and articles. I am the Command Chaplain for a Carrier Air Wing. I pray for you weekly and pray that one day we can meet.
UNLESS I AM MISTAKEN, THESE DONT LIKE MY PREACHING
You are a particularly distorted self righteous um, christian and I DO use that term loosely here. Continue to proclaim your form of righteousness... it makes those of us that are inclusive, forgiving, and accepting laugh out loud. I guess you missed those parts of the New Testament in which Jesus forgave, without making some kind of unnecessary scene. Jesus hates ***** [he used a particularly repugnant vulgarity here]. Better figure this out before you die, dude.
Im sorry to say this but I must say that you are have a phobia of other peoples beliefs. It is so disheartening that you are promoting hate among Christians when believers need to unite to face the end-times. You will be one of those who will anticipate the endtimes enthusiastically but instead of being soldiers of Christ, you will send your own people to hell first. Thats how dumb and ignorant you are.
I am absolutely amazed at your pharisaical views and dogmatism that chokes out the very life that God desires to overflow from the lives of those you are attempting to minister with. How laughable your writings are to my carnal mind, how absolutely sickening they must be to Father. ... Quite honestly if you check your heart you will find a tremendous amount of jealousy which keeps you very busy promoting your own small ideas, taking puck shots at tremendous men of God who will see things you only dream about. Repent and do something worthwhile with your lives. [This man is a Chuck Swindoll supporter. I received many e-mails lately rebuking me for giving my simple, careful, prayerful warnings about Swindoll, all of them filled with this type of unscriptural nonsense. Swindoll has a lot to answer for.]
You know what? You need your ass kicked Brother Cloud. What in **** (and it is from ****) is wrong with you? What do the Scriptures tell you about the kind of **** you dished out about Chuck Swindoll? If they are not against us (the sake of Christ) then they are for us, just because they don't part their hair on the same side you do leave them alone. Youre going the wrong way, God allows U-Turns. Jealousy has a lot of faces. [I wonder if Swindoll knows the influence he is having on people with his grace not fundamentalism slant? And I wonder what all the vulgarities and cussing is about? I suppose, though, if it is alright to ride your motorcycle around a Promise Keepers stadium conference to the sound of Born to Be Wild, as Swindoll has done, a little cussing cant be all bad.]
Like you Brother Cloud I once was a legalistic, Christian who simply went through my life doing my joyless duties. I thought that my duties were impressing God and that he couldn't fulfill his plan in life without me. ... If someone doesn't exactly line up with your way of thinking then they are apostate. Im sorry Brother Cloud, but you didn't write the book on Christian living. Jesus Christ did. ... And I'm not ashamed to say God used John Piper to open my eyes to this truth.
Upon reading your website regarding animals rights, I was appalled. Compassion is a sign of a Godly man. Instead you are continuing the history of the church by teaching hate and cruelty. What kind of monster doesn't believe in treating animals with dignity? Instead Christians continue their egoism by thinking that they are God's chosen people, spreading intolerance and hate throughout the world. Furthermore, the Bible has no authority of any kind. It has been re-written, changed, and manipulated to control the masses. But, the masses are too ignorant to know the history of their own religion and bible. ... Obviously, you believe only Christians desire dignity. Actually, you believe only Christian men desire dignity and Christian women still should pay for the allegorical myth of Eve eating the forbidden fruit. ... And your website proves their is no love and compassion in your heart. Ill pray that narrow-minded, evil organizations like your church receive enlightenment and compassion regarding all living things. If there is a hell, people lacking in compassion for all living things will surely spend eternity there.
You are not LDS nor have you ever been. For you to take a stance against our church is nothing more that bearing false witness against thy neighbor. You need to take account of your actions and decide if YOU are a Christian or a tool of Satan. Have a nice day.
Your article on Why I am not a Southern Baptist, is the most extreme example of innuendo and half truth I have witness in a long time. ... Discipline Billy Graham, give me a break. ... Why don't you spend your energies advancing the Kingdom of God through evangelism and discipleship, rather than borderline yellow journalism targeted at brothers in Christ.
I find your methods very distasteful and unbiblical! You spend all your time criticism every other work out there and you have no time to make a positive difference in the world in which we live. In my mind, Jesus Christ would have identified your group with the Scribes and Pharisee's (having a form of godliness but lacking the real spirit). There are numerous bible passages which condemns what you folks are doing.
I recently came across a your website and read an article that you have posted entitled, How to Keep Contemporary Christian Music Out of the Churches. After reading the entire article, I must say that it is the most ridiculous thing I have read in years! The old style of music falls on deaf ears and if the Lord inspires a way to reach people, by SPIRIT INSPIRED Contemporary Christian music, then who are you to say that God is wrong to do so. Just because its not the slow, boring, repetitive hymns that Grandma used to sing. We are living in a new age with a new generation and it's our DUTY as Christians to reach them with the Gospel. Thousands and Thousands of people have come to Christ in my church alone, and part of it is because of the new music. ... It is also my DUTY as a Christian to rebuke you for quenching the Spirit that is at work reaching the lost through Contemporary Christian music. Your article is nothing but hypocritical and judgmental.
Judge not lest you be judged; whoever is without sin may cast the first stone. Your article embarrassed me. Surely your brains could be used for something intelligent? Of course youre entitled to your opinion but couldn't you have picked a more worthy person to denigrate? Like Jesus, Lennon's core message was one of peace and love. Would Jesus have bombed Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq? Lennon was a human and shared all the faults inherent in humanity. He was forced to deal with the added pressure of unprecedented superstardom and, like Jesus, Im sure he is capable of forgiving his murderers. Your article has further shaken my faith in organised religion.
Dear Mr. Cloud: The best example of Irresistible Grace is that a miserable sinner like you is saved. Give glory to God and not your decision. Your ranting against what Calvin taught from the Bible is disgraceful. You ARE explaining away the scriptures on the ELECT. Your teaching on this is an embarrassment. [Note from Bro. Cloud: I replied to this man, who writes with such Christian grace and kindness, that I am not sure what he is talking about because I have never given glory to another other than Jesus Christ nor to anything other than His grace. My salvation is 100% of God.]
It seems to me that you could easily obtain a new URL: www.selfrighteousjudge.com! Do you believe anyone will go to heaven besides those who have committed to your own heresy? I am certain that any unsaved person that stumbles into your website, will be more likely to turn away from God than to him! I've always wondered why I have never seen or heard of a flourishing Fundamental Baptist church, but if this website is any indication, I'm not wondering anymore. I hope that you can somehow learn to be as merciful as Jesus. I realize that we all have differing doctrines and theological understandings, but I thought as long as we agreed on the fact that we needed to reach the world for Christ, that we could look past some of our differences and focus on the real task of the church: evangelizing the world -- to every tribe and tongue.
Ive been researching various Christian Churches for fifteen years and can tell you that the Catholic Church is probably the least guilty of crimes against God. The Lutherans, for example were a pack of liars. The Calvinists were crazed murderers. The Puritans were nasty, mean and far more superstitious that Catholics. But the meanest most unrepentant church by far and the phoniest religion by far as well, was and still is the Church of England (Episcopalian). The Baptists are just low down mean headed bigots, period. ... Christianity is not about a book. ... The Bible tells the story but it should not be held above Mary just as Mary should not be held above her Son. Mary is for real.
The false doctrine that healing is in the atonement??? Who are you trying to fool? It's too late buddy, way too many people have figured out the truth and are walking in their redemption already. How many people have YOU seen healed in the past week? What a sorry, inconsiderate, uncaring ogre you serve. ... What a sorry life people who believe that must live, always sick, always poor, and always thinking that's God's will for their life.
I found your article http://www.wayoflife.org/fbns/tolkien-lordoftherings.html, a load of
lies. First off, what scripture in the bible condemns goblins and faeries? ... Also how is The Lord of The Rings paganistic? ... Witches and Warlocks? Gandalf a Warlock? Heh, Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White is a wizard. You can call that evil if you want ... And needless to say you sound like a closed minded bigot, your comment drug headed hippies just proves how ignorant and prejudice of a person you are.
I'm sure that I am not the first to contend with you on this subject, but reflect on this fact: People like Chuck Swindoll and Billy Graham have brought more people into the loving presence of Jesus Christ for Him to heal and teach than you or the others like you. How do you argue against success? Its easy for you to criticize under the guise of being a guardian against apostasy. You see, it is a most natural thing for a weak person to rail loudly from a position on an issue that they are unsure of. They think that the more fierce the attack, the less likely others are to realize their self-centeredness and insecurity.
I had to let you know that your Beatles article is a joke, right? Do you have nothing better to do with your time? Lucky for you Jesus forgives even knuckle-heads like you. Tsk, tsk... [Signed] A True Christian.
i read your article on Moody Bible Institute. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. but I have already waisted too much time on you... after all i don't want to cast my pearls before swine... you being the swine.
Hello, MORON. I have been reading your articles, & what you say 90-95% of the time is STUPID. There is NOTHING wrong with rock music or soul music or music with a beat. It's a LOT better than the old-fashioned, out-dated, out-moded music you would rather have the world listen too. The music you like is enjoyed ONLY by old-fashioned, out-of-touch-with-the-modern-world, stuffed-shirt, grouchy christians. Christian rock music is WONDERFUL, & so is secular rock music. Dont get me wrong. I am a christian, I agree with SOME of its teachings, but the stuff you write is GARBAGE. I listen to ALMOST EVERY kind of music out there. Soft rock, pop, rock, jazz, R&B, I even like a little bit of rap music. Your articles give me the impression that in order to be a christian, you have to listen to ONLY hymms & southern gospel music. That is FALSE. Christians can listen to ANY kind of music they want too. Some of my favorites are Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen, Linkin Park, Eminem, T-Bone, Audio Adrenaline, Phil
Collins, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, P.O.D., Newsboys, & U2 (and don't give me any ****** about them not being christian, they ARE a christian band). ... The majority of your articles are HORRIBLE & pure TRASH. Say something positive for once instead of being so judgemental all the time. You think youre the best christian in the world & that you're the only one who knows the truth. Well, youre NOT the best christian in the world. You're actually one of the WORST.
Do you realize how many people you are steering wrong in this world today? God have mercy on your soul and may He absolve you from all your wrong doing. This is so shameful, so shameful and hate-filled what you are doing. Read some books from St. Augustine, St. John of the Cross, if you truly want to know what to preach.
Dear Sir. I understand that you do not believe in water baptism for salvation. See Acts 2:38. If water baptism is not necessary for salvation, then Christ blood is not necessary for salvation. Did Christ shed his blood because we were saved??? You need to repent of your foolish teaching before you and all those that follow you face the judgment. If we can help you in obeying the Gospel please let us know.
I never thought I would see the day when someone said SBC was a liberal organization. I thought the SBC was a group of ultra conservative idiots but you people have managed to top even them. You make me proud to be an avowed atheist!!!!
No offense, but reading the stuff on this page actually made me laugh! The arguments you present are so incredibly not thought out that one must be a mind numb robot to not see through your arguments. BTW, have you ever read any of the early Church fathers writings? By these very early Christian writings it is very easy to see that Peter was indeed in Rome, and it is also very clear that he WAS indeed the first Bishop of Rome or Pope.
A LITTLE FARTHER OUT
Hello, I wish you no harm. I come in peace as you might say. I would like to make a few comments on the death metal rock music article. ... I ask you -- Do you even know what paganism is? Pagan religions are actually very mild compared to Christianity. Paganism is about the earth. Their gods are very peaceful, and paganistic people are extremely kind. They have a saying, Whatever you do comes back to you threefold, these are good and just people. They only wish to live in harmony with the earth. I would also like to mention that killing has nothing to do with metal. I would say that metal has been around for about thirty years, correct? Killing has been around for a lot longer than that, don't you agree? Just a concerned Metalhead, Shadow. P.S. By the way, HAIL SATAN AND ODIN AND OSIRIS AND ALL THOSE OTHER GODS!!! [Note from Bro. Cloud: Metal rock hasnt affected this fine fellow!]
Why do we place humans on a pedestal. They [humans and animals] are both God's.
I decalre that God is not supernatural and I can prove it ---right here , right now. If it exists it is in the range of the natural. That is God's existance is not supernatural at all but He is a part of nature. If it's existance is possible it is within the realm of nature , a part of nature. Supernatural would not by definition be part of nature and therefore could not commune with the natural as it is unnatural in reality. God is not super-----He is in the exact realm He is to be in---the realm of nature ---nuttin super about it.
